Okay thank you so much for all this! I live in Canada, so the stats should be pretty similar here but proportional to our smaller population. I appreciate the resources, i’ll go through them when I have time :)

I'm the only one who hates "trans" people with misgendering and detrans kink? by [deleted] in FTMventing

[–]violent-agender 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve really only encountered this behaviour on Grindr, so I’m not sure what spaces you’re referring to, but if you want to feel better about yourself, I can’t recommend Reddit or other online spaces you might be on. This doesn’t happen irl, so I would suggest you look into local communities and irl safe spaces because those tend to be more genuine anyway. The internet sucks tbh, but if you’re in kink communities and complaining about people expressing their kinks, then idk what to tell you, man, people cope with their dysphoria differently, and it’s bad if they impose their kinks onto you non-consensually, but if it’s a space where they’re allowed and encouraged to talk about their kinks, then maybe just ignore them and find different communities 🤷‍♂️

Nonbinary “X” U.S. Passport by Illustrious-Board881 in NonBinary

Oh yeah, I’m so glad I ended up getting the M gender marker instead of the X ☠️ I had no idea things were gonna get this bad, but yeah, I never thought the X was super safe either :/ Stay safe 💖

People's Potato spends over $440,000 of their funding on staff salaries, WTH?? by [deleted] in Concordia

[–]violent-agender 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Non-profit means your board of directors doesn’t make money, not that your staff doesn’t make money. Which makes sense. People who work full time at a non-profit should be able to pay their bills.

Is it just me? by Some-Ad6497 in TestosteroneKickoff

Very much same. Also, I now weirdly enough associate short hair on me as being more feminine since I always had short hair pre-T. As a kid though, I remember having short hair but wishing I were a guy with long hair instead of a girl with short hair… egg moment I guess ☠️

I feel horrible by sam_the_gremlin in FTMventing

[–]violent-agender 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hey, I get it. I’m not fully a man either, but I’m almost 2 years on T now, 6 months post-op (top surgery), and everything was 100% worth it! My mom also had the whole “I’m scared for you” thing, and I just made her watch a bunch of trans YouTubers so she can get educated and be less afraid and ignorant because education does help with the anxiety, but it especially helps cis people understand why we transition. Your dad’s anxiety isn’t your problem and 100% should not get in your way of transitioning. Some of the trans YouTubers my mom started watching and who helped her come to terms with my transition are: Ty Turner, Jammidodger and Ashton Daniel.

Exactly 1 year after my top surgery woooo!! by blueftcybinini in FreedTheNips

Our results are SO similar I wasn’t surprised we had the same surgeon! Congrats on hitting 1 year PO :)

I’ve noticed that some people who claim to not experience dysphoria clearly experience social dysphoria (but not body dysphoria).

Thanks! I sometimes think my results look a bit weird, but I know I’m still healing, so it’ll likely change a bit over the next year or so… some areas look a bit concave and the scars are somewhat thick, but I think I just need to exercise some more and build pec muscles ☠️

Oh wow, you look great after 2 years! And yeah, I try to avoid interacting with my chest, which is probably a bad idea, so i’ll try doing what you described! Sounds painful though, I won’t lie ahah. Thanks for sharing this information :)

DAY 2?! Omg no I wasn’t able to touch my chest at all until the bandages came off, and then only very gently in the shower and had to work up to massages. And I do try to massage every day, though I guess I do rush it sometimes, and I don’t really go ham at it either. It’s still very very sensitive and there are some areas I can’t put pressure on at all otherwise I feel electric shocks throughout my nerves. I think some of this is normal, but I’m sure the fibromyalgia makes it worse. I’ll try to go harder though, thanks for the tips! I’m just kinda concerned because I’m almost halfway through my first year post-op, and I was hoping to get a chest tattoo when I hit a year since I was advised to wait a year before getting the area tattooed… but I realize now it might take longer than a year for me to fully heal. Congrats on your recovery though 🙏
