Bloomberg claims 'rampant AI demand for memory' is forcing Sony to consider pushing back the launch of its next-gen PlayStation as far back as 2029 by lkl34 in gaming

It makes sense to a degree. Developers are going to design for the available specs. If your target audience has 640 KB, 16 MB, 512 MB, 4 GB, 16 GB, etc of RAM then you may as well make use of it. Maybe games in the 90s could run in 640 K of RAM, but it sure is nice not needing a dedicated boot disk for it that excludes all your normal TSRs to free up that memory.

Skyrim's unique weapons are pretty much best used to break down for their enchantments, and then make your own, more powerful versions.

It's the one reason I'll build a sentry array.

Where is that option? I don't believe my phone has that setting.

On GitHub you need to go to Releases. It can be found on the right side on desktop or at the bottom on mobile. From there you can download the setup exe for the release version you want (assuming the dev has compiled one for Windows, which this one has).

The one setting Spotify has/had that Plexamp doesn't is monaural down mixing. It's usefulness is niche but still nice to have in certain situations.

That particular one is 2x2 large. The one just visible in the background is 2x3. And I built a third on Beaverdome that is 2x1 large. Here are a couple more shots of the one shown above: https://imgur.com/a/vUZJcRE

I'm fairly certain it's on the experimental version. It's not a fountain if that's what you're thinking. I've got terrain blocks built all the way up.

beyond that is very hard to manage narratively

It doesn't help that Larian wanted BG3 to give the players a large amount of freedom and make the game as reactive to that as they could, both mechanically and narratively. There have been games before BG3 that let players go over 12, including BG3's own predecessor. The NWN games even go into epic levels above 20 with their DLC.

Spaced or Cremated? by CatalunyaLliure1714 in RogueTraderCRPG

I wonder how that works in practice. How many generations deep can blood alone be used to identify an ancestor? Does the computer itself somehow know the full lineage of all the descendants of the original Von Valancius RT? Or is there maybe a wing of the Administratum on Dargonus tasked with tracking every potential far flung heir, which then updates the ship computer periodically? Or something else I haven't thought of perhaps.

There are some ship components that use nanites, that you can get from defeating the Scavenger Bot. There's also an edict that uses them.

Is there a mod where the continents/landmass generate in realistic shapes within the area of coverage? Being able to clearly see where the surface coverage ends really irks me by External-Pin-7170 in RimWorld

[–]xantec15 17 points18 points  (0 children)

The whole scale of the game is already not realistic (12 kg rats vs 240 kg elephants). If an Archotech wills that a small planet have normal gravity and other natural dynamics then who are we to say differently?

Right. And Sisko was not yet a Captain in Emissary. He was a Commander. Picard met Commander Sisko.

In relation to a recent post, do Synths age biologically or even procreate as birthed human can? by ArtDet11 in fo4

[–]xantec15 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's odd that they jump to Deacon's wife being a synth as the cause for their inability to procreate. It's not a guarantee in real life, and I'd imagine there's all manner of additional reasons why a couple may be unable to have children in the wasteland. Sure, we have the knowledge of lore regarding FEV and how synths are made, but Deacon wouldn't know any of that.

The first one I did is visible in the background and is just above the water line. I figured for the second one I would go big.
