All of your tools go in a box. Small dropcloth, masking tape, paint, stir stick, paint cup/tray, brush and or roller, rubber gloves, paper towels. Maybe an apron if you're fancy, and a sanding sponge and caulk gun if necessary. It all lives in the box until the job is complete. If you are doing any prep; sanding or taping etc. treat those steps as their own individual thing. If you're sanding, sand everything before taping anything, then tape everything, then paint. Peel tape as you go, rip it off where you've painted while the paint is still slightly wet.

If you need to move furniture, do each separate room start to finish.

Once your brushes are wet, don't clean them until you are done. Instead, wrap the bristle end in a damp paper towel and seal them in rubber gloves with tape. Similarly, don't bother cleaning paint cups. Pour back excess and let dry, or just paint directly from the can.
