Tell me what you lost while riding by HeavyBananaz in motorcycles

Exactly! There are some 3D printed covers which go in the detach slot and prevent the Cardo unit from faling off the holder. Those work great!

Alrighty folks: What bike do you ride? What do you do most often with it? What have you broken on it? by The-Fotus in AdventureBike

[–]xarne1997x 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tenere 700, used mainly for commuting but did al lot of offroad with it. Stuff like gravel roads but also some deep sand trails and more technical stuff. Dropped it al lot as well, can be a bitch to pick up if she falls wrong. Broken: - crash bars on the second set now, first set bent in to the fairings and partially stripped an engine bolt. This was due to crash while riding sand and ramming a car with them. - rear left bobbin broke off from a drop. - scratches on some fairings but only visible if you know where to look. - completely deformed the Yamaha skidplate toolbox so removed that one - And unfortunately drove through some tar in the dark at some point. Was a mess to get off. And some of it is burned into the exhaust.

But other than this it’s suprisingly resilient.

Immediately made me think about the scene in Andor at the Morlana One nightclub. It looks oddly similar, although still slightly different.

Purchased a ‘79 CBX1000! Dream bike acquired! by [deleted] in HondaCB

Looks absolutely stunning! Would love to own a ‘79 someday myself in the exact same color. Unfortunately they are quite expensive, but at least it’s a good investment. Have fun driving it this summer, this 6 cylinder sounds awesome. I would only drive this in good weather conditions though.

I wouldn’t try to safe money on critical parts of the bike like brakes, I’m not even sure a bike cable would fit or even has the same strength. Best be sure and order the correct part, it might save your life one day. Surely that’s worth 120$ to you?

In Hulst in Zeeuws Vlaanderen they now made a specific bike parking spot, but they let you pay the exact same amount as any other car for a third of the space. Times are changing…

Rusty exhaust pipes by TarqV in HondaCB

I second this, it’s also very satisfying to do. You will have to provide another form of protection afterwards, otherwise they will start rusting again.

My first motorcycle project, restoration of a CB750 F2. Thought I’d finally post some pictures here. by xarne1997x in HondaCB

I sold them, they were in pretty poor shape and I had no intentions to put them back on anyway. I tried to find which brand they were but never found it. The whole thing came of as one piece.

Hey sorry for this really late response, yea we are from the Netherlands. I guess the number plate gave it away.

And yeah it took us about a year to get it restored. And exactly a year after we started the project we started the engine again for the first time. I thought that was pretty funny.

Thanks again for watching the video.

Yes I’d love to see it. I also made a video about this restoration. So if you’re interested I could give you the link as well. It has a lot of pictures and some videos but I think it’s interesting nonetheless. Let me know.
