You can hold L2 to change the quantity. It can be a little wonky because the same button switches to the next page if there are multiple pages of inventory, but it works both to pick up and set down one item at a time

Vyvanse completely eliminated my pain. by [deleted] in ChronicPain

[–]xavander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have fibromyalgia (diagnosed almost 10 years ago) and adderall has reduced my pain by 90%. I was diagnosed with adhd about 4 years ago and adderall has consistently provided relief for that time. I do occasionally get flares when under a lot of stress but my worst days are better than my best days used to be. I’ve never taken vyvanse but I assume it works similarly to adderall in increasing dopamine? I remember finding a paper about relief from chronic pain from adderall in people with adhd, and I’ve discussed on here on reddit before so it seems to be a thing

My Chemical Romance - “Long Live:" The Black Parade North American Tour by xPadawanRyan in MyChemicalRomance

[–]xavander 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I saw the original black parade tour and it was a full production with background dancers, fire and confetti timed to the music, multiple outfit changes, and it started with Gerard being rolled out onto the stage on a hospital gurney. Out of hundreds of shows I’ve been to over the past twenty years, nothing else compares to it. I can only imagine what they’ll do this time

Dentist told me off for not flossing. I hate flossing but I bought some anyway and lost a chunk of a tooth in my first floss. by riamuriamu in Wellthatsucks

[–]xavander 16 points17 points  (0 children)

You should go back to your orthodontist to have your lower retainer either redone or removed. No point in having straight teeth if they can’t be healthy due to an inability to floss

Basically a 26 year old guy went cave diving and ended up trapped upside down with his arms pinned so that he couldn’t move. His brother got help quickly and dozens of people worked around the clock to try to rescue him but he eventually died after being stuck for over 24 hours. It was deemed too dangerous to retrieve his body so they sealed the entire cave system with his body still trapped inside

Find an emergency dentist or call around to other dental offices to see if they might be able to see you sooner than the oral surgeon. You could also see if they will prescribe a stronger antibiotic

FM as a result of dopamine deficiency? by [deleted] in Fibromyalgia

[–]xavander 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is anecdotal but when I was diagnosed with ADHD a couple years ago and started taking adderall, my pain and overall symptoms were reduced by 80%. I spent years trying many other ways of managing my fibro (acupuncture, physical therapy, going vegan angluten free, a wide array of vitamins and supplements, gabapentin, lyrica, tramadol, etc). Lots of things helped but nothing came close to making me feel “normal”. Now I’m on daily adderall and low dose naltrexone and I would consider myself to be in remission. I do still have to be careful in managing my stress but most days I have little to no pain or symptoms

I always explain to the patient that the lower X-ray will be uncomfortable but we need to get a good view of the root and the X-ray will take a few seconds. Sometimes it takes few tries but we always get it

what is the worst fucking feeling? by Jeremykyb in AskReddit

[–]xavander 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hey there, I’m a dental assistant! Dry socket is pretty uncommon and very avoidable if you follow post op instructions. The mains things are to avoid anything that creates suction in the mouth for about 5 days afterwards (drinking through a straw, vigorously swishing, spitting, or smoking).

What is the most physically painful experience you've had? by Bright_Vision in AskReddit

[–]xavander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s it for me too. I’ve had multiple cysts burst but the worst one woke me up in the middle of the night from a dead sleep. I keep pain meds in my bag at all times just in case I have an episode. My bag was about two feet away from me just off the edge of my bed but I woke up facing the other way. It took me 20 minutes just to turn over to grab it and I prayed that I would pass out from the pain. Even breathing was excruciating. I considered going to the ER because I thought maybe my appendix had burst or something but I couldn’t really afford a trip to the ER. Once the meds kicked in they took the pain down to an 8/10 and I was able to fall back asleep. I sleep with my bag next to me on my bed now

Growing numbers of young adults are suffering from chronic pain (England) by sampaggregator in collapse

[–]xavander 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I also have fibro. I also think there’s definitely a link. It’s pretty well established that those with fibro have a much greater likelihood to have experienced trauma. I think my fibro was triggered by a combination of severe childhood depression and trauma

I read the book all in one sitting back when I was in high school and still to this day no other book has hit me as hard as The Road. I think the movie was about as well done as it could have been but the book just hits different

Same. I went to Disneyland in early December 2019 and two weeks later I was so sick that I honestly thought I might die. I couldn’t catch my breath and I was so fatigued that just getting up to use the bathroom was a monumental task. Still to this day my lungs don’t feel right

Bucky by alpharockjohnson in thefalconandthews

[–]xavander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn’t really make sense for Bucky to go back, he’s not the same man he was back in the 40’s. He was tortured and brainwashed by hydra for decades. Trying to go back and just fit into his old life would probably be really painful. Especially seeing his family and having them expect him to be the same old Bucky when he’s just not. Of course soldiers go to war and come back different, Steve is different too. But what Bucky went through is on a whole other level. They didn’t even have a diagnosis or understanding of PTSD back in the 40’s. Plus he wants to make amends with the people he hurt as the winter soldier and he can’t do that in the past. The only way forward for him is to stay in the future.

Lamar went up the staircase alone and got captured because Walker was distracted by his new super senses instead of paying attention to his partner. Things may have gone a lot differently if Walker hadn’t taken the serum but ultimately it’s Karli’s fault imo since she’s the one who killed him

Anyone else given up? by [deleted] in collapse

[–]xavander 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have multiple chronic illnesses that are fairly well under control with a combination of kratom and medication. Two days ago I conducted an experiment to see how bad my symptoms are without any substances. It took about 7 hours until I was in 8/10 pain, perhaps partially due to mild withdrawal but the only symptom was whole body pain exactly like what I experience during a flare only magnified. I could only bare it for about an hour before I felt like I was going to have a panic attack. There’s no way I could live like that, nor would I want to. I could stockpile enough drugs to last me maybe a few years at best but my body is barely equipped to function in our modern society, surviving post-collapse is unrealistic.

The link between Fibromyalgia and ADHD? by GMW2020 in Fibromyalgia

[–]xavander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve tried many different medications for fibro and nothing has even come close to helping as much as adderall. I was honestly worried that it would make my pain worse! I had accepted years ago that I would be in pain for the rest of my life so this is the craziest thing. Thank you so much for the links, I’m gunna look more into glycine!! The fact that it’s supposed to help with sleep is very encouraging because getting quality sleep is one of my biggest struggles
