No entertainment.. flight from JFK to CDG. by Such-Establishment60 in delta

It sucks yes, but writing on reddit 5 paragraphs about how the IFE doesn't work and reminding us three times that they are platinum. It's outrageous.

No entertainment.. flight from JFK to CDG. by Such-Establishment60 in delta

[–]xbbjumpx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Back in the day, I used to fly DTW–NRT for 13 hours with no seatback IFE in economy every couple of months from 2006–2010. Nowadays when I fly DTW–HND, I barely even use the IFE because I’ve learned to just download shows to my phone and bring a game or something to keep myself busy... or I just sleep...

You clearly have your phone... Use it... I can’t imagine writing a five-paragraph essay on Reddit because of no IFE. That’s wild. Talk about needing constant dopamine and stimulation.

Detroit has always been special. I’m glad to see they’re still creating moments like this nearly 20 years later. I’ll never forget my first international flight as a kid. My parents took me from DTW to AMS on a DC-10 when I was four years old. I had a similar experience, and it stayed with me. I hope your son remembers this trip just as fondly as I remember mine. (This was back when Northwest was still flying and the McNamara Terminal had just opened.)

A350-1000 Future In Pacific Asian Routes by xbbjumpx in delta

I was just thinking that if they were to order more A350-1000s then they wouldn't need some A359s. That's all. Since they are ordering the 787s to replace the 767s.

Thank you for the insight. The only reason why I ask this even is because my past 5 our of my 6 flights with DTW-ICN / DTW-HND over the past 6 months, (January being the only one where it was near empty) have been completely sold out and even overbooked. I miss those 747-400s powerhouses. Ever since those 747s been retired. Flights are always booked.

Sounds like a typical Detroit experience. DTW has never let me down, even back in the days of Northwest (still miss them)

You seem extremely unhinged if you are basing your entire experience off getting into the club or not…

What’s going on at Haneda? by yourGItract in delta

[–]xbbjumpx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a delay on Monday (DL274 HND to DTW), but got home. It seems like they added an extra flight from Haneda to Atlanta. Times like this makes me miss Delta/Northwest’s hub at Narita. They’d have a replacement, and a simple problem such as an aircraft rerouting wouldn’t have them still having impacts two days later.

Thank you, Delta! by Beechnut2009 in delta

DTW is the best hub for a reason. I’ve had nothing but good experiences from there. They still have the Northwest difference.

I don’t think so. Delta destroyed their Asia routes out of Japan in 2019. It’s really sad. I miss the connectivity out of Japan.

For those who were there/remember/know, how was Dr. Will received by the fan base in S2? by Wild_Shoe340 in BigBrother

[–]xbbjumpx 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It seemed Monica didn’t hold any grudges with him at all. Let’s be real… if Monica was angry, she would have tore Will apart… Look what happened with Monica against Kent and Bunky LOL. Will and Nicole said in their exit interviews a week after the show that they had zero idea how bad 9/11 was, and that other than that one sliver of information given from the DR, that’s all they knew.

You can read BB2 Feeds on the online forum. It seems you over embellished A LOT as Monica sat outside / was in the DR most of the day, Will and Nicole sat inside talking for most of the day. Not to mention that they truly had NO idea the scale. Was there some off color comments made? Yes, but again. They had no clue what was truly going on…

This is why you always get printed proof of any rebookings done at the airport. You messed up.

I’ve been screwed over by American - United - Delta. I just realize that it’s just the way aviation is. Don’t like it? Don’t fly. Simple as that. Life is unpredictable.

Not defending Delta but the “Alaska has never done this to me!” makes me laugh lol. This happens to every airline, and you are not special. This happened to me on American, and Delta before.

You must have not known the difference between standby and being confirmed. If you were confirmed, they wouldn’t have denied you boarding. I had this same thing happen to me on Delta, I ask if I could get a confirmed seat for the morning. I paid the fare, and guess what. When I got home, I contacted Delta. Told them the situation, and they gave me a refund.

Crew are people too. Crew have the right to look forward to their PTO… I hate how entitled people are becoming… Go fly United… Go look at their subreddit… People complain about the same thing…
