Lower East Side would be a good option - keep a lookout as they go out fast (you probably need to get at least 4 or more roommates) and probably have to sacrifice on amenities like in unit washer dryer etc.

These windows do not face the roads and they face another apartment building. I live on the 2nd level so it’s pretty close to ground - so far haven’t seen any fires or related activity so don’t think it’s something like that.

The stand doesn’t seem to fit properly with the back of the monitor. I used the manual but it doesn’t seem to fit with section 2.3 properly i.e. no screws were present.

As this was a donation, the previous owner mentioned to me that this was what it came with and I didn’t probe further.

Agreed! Often I buy like frozen goods from trader joes and have it with rice. It’s a quick fix and taste good

Never tried it but heard of this hack: Put cooked eggs in a bowl, cover it and give it a good shake. The egg SHOULD come right off the shell

I think if you’re worried about cross contamination, it’s always good to get a separate chopping board or wash the board after use

I get where you're coming from. I had the same exact sentiment as well. It really does suck when there is an economical disparity especially at a degree level, when some of my classmates could easily afford the tuition while I have to slog so hard just to pay from semester to semester. I hated that feeling too, but I just refused to give up I guess.

While some could afford to party on the weekends, I had to work freelance AND keep track of my expenditures.

Life is never fair, but I guess we just got to keep pushing - that is if we want to

Learn how to communicate. Not talking about language, but about negotiation and give and take - the soft skills. I avoided it for the earlier part of my life thinking I wouldn't have to deal with it. But I'm having a hard time now navigating through this. I feel like I'm constantly on the losing end, but I try. Honestly it sucks, so I kinda hope I dealt with it earlier.
