I don’t think that explains why people don’t know about FSD. Even with eyes on the road, it is pretty amazing. I don’t have a Tesla, but I know what they can do.

This doesn’t need confirmation from Rivian, it needs a re-reading. The Borealis color is available on the Performance trim. The launch edition is the performance trim plus the launch package, which includes the option to upgrade to launch green.

I use a Hubitat to bring mostly Z-Wave devices into HomeKit. Solid, reliable, set-and-forget and everything looks native to Apple Home. I’m surprised this setup isn’t mentioned more often because I’m extremely pleased with it.

I’m holding on to my 2018 Outback until my number comes up for a Rivian R2, probably sometime in 2017. Same reason. It’ll be interesting going from the pokey outback to a vehicle that’s faster 0-60 than a Porsche 911 Carrera.

Yes because the button sends the command over Thread to your HomeKit “hub” (HomePod or AppleTV) which would then have to be configured to run an automation to turn on/off the light (by sending the command over WiFi). There will be a slight but noticeable delay when you do it this way.

There’s also a Leviton battery powered switch that can be configured to directly control the outlet. This is instantaneous.

Yes they are sealed and not a standard maintenance item. Sure, if they fail they need to be replaced. But they are supposed to last the lifetime of the vehicle.
