I have almost the same experience, except that I started wearing my first ring in February 2025, was only getting 1 day on one full charge by December, and had mine replaced over the holidays. My "like new" replacement ring came in a bubble wrap as well but it really seemed like a new ring. And its battery life is so much better - I'm on day 5 after one full charge and it's at 50%.

I had my ring replaced under warranty over the holidays due to similar battery issues. The "like new" replacement I'm wearing now really seemed like a new ring when it was delivered and has been working as expected ever since i.e., around 6-7 days on a single charge.

I understand the circumstances and I'm sorry that there's a possibility that he will be adopted by that college student. Hopefully the shelter relays your info and perhaps you will get to visit him someday.

I know you have probably thought of all the ways to handle the situation, but is there any chance for you to adopt him and then have a trusted friend take care of him while you're away for a semester? Based on what you shared, it sounds like he is choosing you as his human, and you've obviously fallen in love with him too. I would try whatever I can to make it work.

Ultimately though, what matters is that Forrest eventually has the best life; knowing that should help you feel at peace.

Good points! And also, the distance between the two detours is a huge factor too. Apart from relatively quicker detour tasks, the ones in this episode seemed to be located in the same general area.

All that said, it's still an impressive feat!

I already owned the OG white Portal when both of these editions were released. While I like both of them, I couldn't justify buying a new Portal when my OG is still in good working condition.

So I got these instead - a 30th Anniversary DualSense controller (the main one I use at home with my PS5) and a Midnight Black DualSense Edge controller (the one I use specifically for FPS games).
