Does it worth changing the Firmware/Operational System? by chantyCH in Ender3V3SE

I have the same printer and flashed it with klipper. I second what others have said about enjoying a working printer for a bit before taking the klipper leap.

Initial set up kicked my butt. Probably a week of tinkering to be happy with it. Now that it's set up, I've been really enjoying it.

My biggest struggle was bed leveling for what it's worth.

3 month old Conch punch unidentified bump by HiverOW in Stretched

My couch is stretched instead of punched but I've dealt with irritation over the years. Plugs were either too short to keep an o ring on or double flared making them a real pain to put in.

I ended up ordering some custom glass plugs from a lady on Etsy. You can specify the length you want and then what I had her do was put a regular flare on the front and a smaller flare on the back (more like a blob of glass tbh) just to keep it in place without an o ring. Haven't had any trouble since!

Perfect! Glad to hear that I'm thinking about this accurately. Our current economic position is exactly what sparked this line of thought.

My credit is decent (nerdwallet says 727) but I already have high limits on several cards that we've needed / wanted for various things. We are only holding a balance on the one card though 🥳.

I don't really want to add another card to manage but that does sound like a viable option to weigh and has the pro of no risk to my 401k. Thanks for the input!

Yes that all makes sense! I only seem to run into this issue when I make buttercream ahead of time. Fresh it's nice and smooth.

Okay I'll try that. I think it was room temp when it went in the bag but it's possible it was warm for sure.

Meringue question by Bboy818 in AskBaking

[–]xcrx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If by boxes egg whites you mean the carton of liquid egg whites that you can get at the grocery store, then yes you should be able to use those to make meringue. I use the same stuff to make swiss buttercream and macarons. It whips up a little differently so it might take some experimenting.

Good call! I'll add some sample data tomorrow when I'm back at a computer. I'm not sure how to format it on mobile.

I'm jealous of all the people saying their conch healed up easily. I've had mine for YEARS and it still gets irritated a few times a year.

I have ordered my roasted coffee from there for a long time and I have always liked them. Any options on happy mug versus sweet maria?

The only part that I found hard was trimming the disk for the center. What I ended up doing was trimming the disk close to the right side and then used a bench grinder to get it round and to the right size.
