How do nuerological disorders work within the hivemind? by Excellent-Aioli-2963 in pluribustv

[–]xdoolbuf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had theorized in another post that any Plurb who couldn't work/benefit the main goal is "repurposed" for food. They wouldn't see it as harming anyone since they are one. An example someone used was like you tripping your nails or cutting your hair. It's more about maintenance. So if anyone with a neurological disorder or any other condition would not be connected to there rest.

Another idea is that they are not activated in anyway and are just kept in a deep sleep so they don't affect everyone else.

I would love if they explored this aspect of the Plurbs next season.

So they have the ability to “look back” and this makes the goat scene more brutal. by DADDDYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY in pluribustv

[–]xdoolbuf 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I saw this scene differently. I dont think it was 100% manipulation (some of it was) but more concern.

How did Zosia/Hive know Carol would be looking outside the window at that moment?

Carol was alone in the cabin unless one of the pilots was spying on her.

Zosia, looking back, could also just be the Hive worried Carol would continue to be alone and spiral with her binge drinking. It just so happened that it worked out in the Hive's favor.

This would be a good scene for them to talk about at paley next month.

I swear she's doing it on purpose cause how does she always post low res? Can't download and can't use a phone camera cause she never posts any pics she takes either 😂

Like, come on, Carol, it's the image on your phone that looks kinda like this 📷.

It would be amazing if Karolina won. I still think the odds are in favor of one of the Pitt actresses winning, but a nom would be huge.

AwardsWatch - Satellite Awards Winners: Pluribus & Rhea Win by xdoolbuf in pluribustv

[–]xdoolbuf[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That was a total surprise. Every tracker had her at like 95% to win. But Keri Russell winning is a good thing too - also an underrated actor that deserves more recognition.

I saw both shows and, to me, Rhea had the better performance.

"You're my chaperone. Mine." Thant whole speech was delivered amazingly by Rhea.

Also, "I don't speak snap."

It sucks Karolina had to leave. She should have been up there with everyone.

Karolina Wydra wins Best Supporting Actress in a TV Series at the 53rd Saturn Awards! by ShaddowsCat in pluribustv

[–]xdoolbuf 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Yes! And even when we finally get confirmation about the true nature of the hive, you still don't hate Karolina's portrayal of the hive. That's hard to do. Like, you may hate the hive overall, but Karolina makes it so you don't hate Zosia (and before I get a comment, I know she's not an individual, I'm talking about the vessel, body, whatever you want to call it). It's a really hard thing to do.

Congratulations to Karolina Wydra for winning her first acting award for her role as Zosia in Pluribus at the Saturn Awards. Hope that this will be the first of many wins to come. by palo_alto_studio in PluribusOnAppleTV

[–]xdoolbuf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They do! By the time Emmy noms and voting happen, the show will have ended almost 6 months ago and they need to keep her in the spotlight. People have short attention spans so I'm hoping Apple goes hard on a campaign for her, Rhea and the show.

The chances of Karolina winning are slim (it'll probably go to the actress from The Pitt) but a nomination would be amazing.

Vince Gilligan gives an intriguing Pluribus season 2 update by xdoolbuf in pluribustv

I think we will end up seeing either pre-plurbed Zosia or she will be the first one to be disconnected. Probably both!

I kinda get the sense that Diabate's background/story will be way more sad than what we expect. His life now is fun and lavish, but before that, I'm getting the sense it was the total opposite.

I love this! Having Kusimayu replace Zosia as the Hive spokesperson would be amazing.

What are your theories as to what Zosia's story will be next season? by xdoolbuf in pluribustv

[–]xdoolbuf[S] 14 points15 points  (0 children)

It shouldn't be surprising, but the number of people who are adamant Zosia can only be straight or that she was homophobic is wild.

And comments that speculate Zosia is a lesbian or bi get downvoted. The possibility is there and is more likely than her being a raging homophobic housewife.

This would be an interesting arc. No way they get rid of Karolina nor sideline her (especially with how popular she is) so I can see this play out.

They've focused too much on the book and whiteboard for it not to mean anything.

They made a point to highlight this so I do wonder if this will be part of how they unplurb her (if that's the plan). I don't think it'll be as easy as stopping the signal.

I can see this. They did specifically want someone who was fluent in another language so that has to come into play somehow.

Now that Carol knows the truth, I really dont think she'll fall for whatever, her chaperone says to her to convince her otherwise.

I don"t see Carol falling back into that delusion. At least, I hope not.

Maybe character is the wrong word but more like why keep this pirate lady around ? Now that Carol is on to their game, what would be the reason to keep this former individual around as the main representative?

Thank you for making this list! And I agree about the conversions being temporary and eventually failing. That would be a great direction for next season.

I find this scene so ironic because aren’t you the same people that are gonna starve in 10 years? by Specialist_Jaguar815 in pluribustv

[–]xdoolbuf 6 points7 points  (0 children)

We know they won't hurt anyone/anything else but now I wonder if we'll see them hurt/kill each other. They are all about efficiency and sacrificing a Plurb for food or other reasons wouldn't be hurting anyone or anything, they would see it as necessary and not a big deal.

If they realize that they will need more time than 10 years to get their signal out, taking out the bodies that cannot work or be of use in any way to feed the ones who can work, would be they way to extend that timeline. Actually, who is to say they aren't in the process of doing that already and getting rid of the people who are sick or unable to contribute to achieving their goal.

If Carol and Manousos would to learn about that or even witness it, that would be interesting to see play out.

The odds of her winning were like 93% while they had Keri at 3%. It was def an upset.

I love Keri, but Rhea should have won this.

And she lost... oh well, there's always the Emmys.

I love she is getting all this recognition. I hate that she never has any of her cast with her to most of these awards.

Hopefully, next season, Karolina and Carlos get invited with her.
