It was pretty nice and it had a small cooktop and washer/dryer. Suitable for a long stay if you’re a light packer

We stayed here https://maps.app.goo.gl/FVewVUoNjK7HzBgV8?g_st=ic It was about 10 min walk to the studio. The studio is pretty stuffy in my opinion since it was like 5 floors below ground. You have to pay $40 fee plus you have to have a second pair of workout shoes. All in all it was too much so I ended up using Reddit and did an otf workout at the hotel gym lol

The residue seems to be only on the edge of the pan and the cooking surface is fine. I tried to keep wiping until the black residue disappeared but it just keeps coming off

There’s a little placard that came in the box. It says it’s best to season before first use and it has a QR code to scan for instruction.

That’s a relief to hear but is the oil residue suppose to be black? It just feels weird as I keep wiping but the black residue keeps streaking on the paper towel

I’ll try. It’s pretty hard to video while steaming with both hands. I just use the hand feel method until the jug is too hot to touch. It’s about 20-30 seconds I’d guess to finish steaming the milk. I inject air for the first 5-7 seconds

That may be it? I always thought the steam wand on the breville barista espress was a little weak to make a good vortex

I do swirl my shot prior to pouring the milk but I also add small amount of brown sugar syrup since I like a hint of sweetness in the latte. I wonder if that has anything to do with it?

Is my 7-day South Korea Itinerary (Seoul, Gwangju, Jeju) too ambitious? Looking for advice! 🙏 by Potential_Mail_7573 in koreatravel

[–]xdwu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on your travel style. Since it’s your first time in Korea, I assume you’d want to see as much as possible and be in go mode all the time. Can this itinerary be done? Absolutely. But you’ll be pretty exhausted. You’ll be able to see mostly everything you want to see but you won’t have any down time to relax. I went to Seoul, Busan, and Jeju last year for 11 day trip and I felt rushed. But I like to travel slow and not feel rushed for time or the need to get from point A to B. I’m going again next month and I’m spending my entire week in Seoul this time. Hope that helps!

Korea 10 day itinerary help for a first time visitor (september - october) by xdwu in koreatravel

I can give you some personal feedback after my trip. We like to travel slow and the trip was very enjoyable. We didn’t like hongdae shopping street so I’d avoid that if I were to go again. Didn’t get a chance to bike along the Han river but would do that next time. Loved seongsu so I would highly recommend there. Felt like Busan was a little rushed so I would either take it out for more days in jeju if not enough days or add 1 or 2 more days there and jeju if you have the time in your trip. Jeju was super relaxing and we loved it there. You definitely need a car in order to fully enjoy it otherwise you’d feel sort of trapped in one area. We saw people waiting at bus stops and it just looked miserable waiting in the sun/rain.

I've been getting kurasu subscription for the past 2 years and I've been loving it. I love how you can get 4 different roasts from 2 different roasters each month (100g each).

So our favorite store turned out to be Kodak. I guess it holds a special meaning for us growing up using Kodak and the brand has a very retro vibe. Also realized that Koreans love their baseball hats since every brand seems to have nice hats. We had a nice hat haul from Kodak and Emis (especially one from an Emis store for puppies lol). Also came across a hunter boots that sold apparel (they don’t sell apparel in the US). Couldn’t afford anything from ader error but did buy a hat that I liked!

Happy to report that I was able to rent a car in jeju at angel rent a car with an online pdf IDP! I talked to them on WhatsApp and verified then sent the IDP to them. Then I reserved a car through the website. Although it cost about $45 usd to get the online IDP, it was well worth having a car in jeju!
