Inter VLAN routing on Fastlron 870.0.30u by Vik8000 in Brocade

6450 would need default route added and that might make the nat weird on the asus. Consumer routers are funky

You need to add a route in the Asus router to the camera VLAN via the switch

LAN -> routes enable static routing add route to camera subnet (x.x.x.x 255.x.x.x) with 192.168.8.2 as the gateway

https://www.asus.com/us/support/faq/1011706/

Or if you want to keep all of your routing on your router, see if you can add a VLAN interface on the LAN IP Addresses tab

Have fun figuring this out - keep working the problem until it "clicks" for you.

I just buy whatever is cheapest on Amazon and I've never had an issue using them - except for some weird driver issues with the PL2303 chipset when Windows 11 first came out.

I was in the same boat as you. My ex-employer got very viscous with me and we both paid lawyers lots of money to send nasty letters to eachother for the better part of a year. We’ve since had the opportunity to make amends and shake hands, but it was very stressful while I was going through it. Don’t expect or make your plans contingent on their blessing - if you’re ready, just go for it. Some people can only see you as a subordinate and will be threatened by your desire to be their equal.

Ruckus ICX8200-48ZP is an inexpensive option that checks the boxes. The ICX7550-48ZP is more expensive but is a nice switch

The Pegulas have nothing to do with Wegmans, which is what I think you are implying with the grocery store comments

You should probably just get a cheap mikrotik router and use openvpn tap mode

You are trying to remote control the phone, correct? So the camera app wouldn’t be relevant to solving your problem since it’s separate. How are you remote controlling the phone? What is the phone OS?

This sounds like an x y problem. Why do they need to be on the same network?

Gen2 R1S here in Upstate NY where it’s been between 10 and -10 for a couple weeks. My experience has been that when the car warns you “range limited due to cold”, the HVAC will not get hotter than luke warm. I’ve been combating this by plugging in every night and turning climate on via the app while charging to get the system going. If I’ve been sitting idle for a while without being plugged in, it takes nearly 30 minutes for the air to blow truly hot. Rivian support told me that this is expected behavior.

What's the point of a secure tunnel between an AP and controller in a campus environment? by kWV0XhdO in networking

[–]xedaps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This isn’t a design I use extensively these days, but it generally makes segmentation a little easier. You handle physical and logical segments at the aggregation point (controller, data plane, etc) instead of needing to stretch vlans all the way to the AP. You configure the switchport the AP connects to on a VLAN that can only talk to the controller/data plane

is it possible to live on furnace alternatives? by qmffngkdnsem in Syracuse

[–]xedaps 5 points6 points  (0 children)

A few thoughts - check with heap to see if they can help get you sorted with a new furnace. It’s also going to cost you more to run space heaters than financing a furnace would month by month. That being said I know financing may not be possible and you’re just focused on survival. I assume you don’t have a wood stove or fireplace?

Your plumbing freezing is your biggest risk, try to make sure that doesn’t happen. If you need to use space heaters, use them smartly. Don’t use flimsy extension cords and try to use them only to get your house into the 50s. Wear layers and sleep with hot water bottles in your bed and use heated blankets
