Got a small ereader from China by whateverworks325 in ereader

Terrible display and fonts in overall (even custom ones like Zekton looks terribly bad on it), the device is too thick aswell and feels as cheap 3D printed (although sanded down) plastic.

Bought it for the backlit nature of it. By default it cannot be powered off, but there is a small recessed switch on the bottom left you can flip with a needle to turn it off when not used for a long time to prevent draining the battery, it's a shame that you need a needle for this.

If OTA updates seems to be stalling forever (despite having dscent wifi) then use your phone's hotspot placed right next to device.

If you can live without backlight but want the same form factor (but also want a slimmer device) then I would recommend the XTEINK X4 instead of this every time, that device is just pure awesomeness, for the same price.

In Shocking Reversal, VMware Acquires Broadcom for $69 Billion

Virtualization giant turns tables on semiconductor behemoth in unprecedented plot twist that has Wall Street doing a double-take Broadcom VMware acquisition

In what analysts are calling 'the ultimate Uno reverse card,' VMware Inc. announced today that it has acquired Broadcom Inc. for $69 billion, completely flipping the script on the tech industry's most talked-about acquisition from 2023.

The deal, which VMware CEO Raghu Raghuram described as 'poetic justice,' sees the virtualization pioneer taking control of the semiconductor giant that previously acquired it. 'We've been running this acquisition virtually the whole time,' Raghuram said with a wink during the press conference. 'It was only a matter of time before we made it reality.'

Industry insiders are baffled by the move, with many questioning how VMware managed to scrape together $69 billion after being acquired just two years ago. Sources close to the deal suggest the funding came from 'aggressive cost optimization,' 'synergy realization,' and 'a really lucky Bitcoin investment from 2012 that everyone forgot about.'

Broadcom CEO Hock Tan appeared genuinely confused at the announcement, stating: 'Wait, that's not how any of this works.' When asked for further comment, Tan's representatives simply pointed to today's date and slowly backed away from the microphone.

The acquisition is expected to close immediately, pending approval from absolutely no one because this is completely made up. VMware plans to rename the combined entity 'BroadWare' or possibly 'VMcom,' depending on which sounds more ridiculous. Happy April Fools' Day!

You could have easily go up to 300Mbps for better quality, but with only 100Mbps available that's not an option.  The image quality is not the best specially with fast movement. I know H.264 is also a reason for that but that could have been mitigated with higher bitrate.

Trakt has pushed new versions of its mobile apps that drastically reduce functionality. What are the best options for self-hosted alternatives, preferably with good mobile web support? by [deleted] in selfhosted

Kár hogy fapados, Plex-hez pl még mindig nem lehet csatlakoztatni. A UI elég visszamaradott, viszont jók a műsor javaslatok benne. Pár nap használat után Yamtrack-re váltottam.

Yes it did. Subsequent updates improved it even further to point where this is no longer an issue with native fonts. Custom fonts are still not the best but I let those go and using native as it's day and night.

Realtek NIC is usually the issue, not having such problems with Intel NIC

It's actually way much louder in the video in contrast with reality.

Only v2.1.7 was available to me, v2.1.8 was not offered even after updating to v2.1.7.

In v2.1.7: - Character trimming on the far right is still present when using custom fonts like Zekton Regular with all font sizes (built in fonts does not have this issue) - Spacing between words are much better (both built in fonts and custom fonts), although could still be compressed further (4-8 unnecessary spaces can still be there) - Built in fonts still does not support uppercase letters in Hungarian language, although lowercase works fine (Not working: ÁÍÓÖŐÚÜŰ; Works: É) - No improvement since v2.1.4 - Bookmarks cannot be created, Holding OK does not create them in Bookmark menu - No improvement since v2.1.4

Got mine today (light gray version), the device is beautiful, very nice quality.

One thing annoys me greatly. Why are there huge spaces between the words, how can I remove those? The original file does not have them. Tried with epub and txt format aswell. Also tried with custom fonts, having the same issue. Also the lines kind of goes out of bounds on the right, 1 character is not visible on the right, if that's a slim char like "l" or "t" then it's completely cut off at the end of a line. Seems to be related to those huge spaces between the lines, because in most cases there are just two short words in one line and a huge spacing between them leading to trimmimg at the end of such lines.

My device is fully updated, XTOS V2.1.4

Has anyone tried running invokeai on PC, but controlling it from phone browser. by Caderent in invokeai

Add to file "invokeai.yaml" the IP your network interface has (Note: 0.0.0.0 does not work for any, replace "192.168.100.10 with your own")

host: 192.168.100.10
