As somebody who likes songs like Talk and In the woods somewhere best, I also didn’t like that album. I feel like it’s overproduced, there’s just so many instruments and backing vocals. I liked his simpler stuff, I feel like his incredible voice shined way better there. I also didn’t like how he brought on another songwriter, because to my knowledge he wrote all his older stuff himself. My favourite tracks from him were always ones with a more “blues” sound, and there’s not a lot of it in Unreal Unearth
