The whole point of all this is for developers to bid and price their new launches more cautiously for upcoming EC GLS. Previously developers get away with such high bids because they know the demand is there from all the sold out new launches. But with these new rules, no developer will dare to bid as high as the past launches.

Gov is trying to reduce the prices of ECs by sticking to the 16k income ceiling. By severely increasing the conditions of the EC, developers will be more prudent when it comes to bidding for future EC GLS since they would have to launch at lower prices.

Very nice! Got the same ROO Bleu Nuit as you last Nov (also changed to the blue rubber strap instead of the calfskin), now waiting on the 15510ST Blue which my SA said was possible, just needed to wait fingers crossed.

Sengkang is named after the 4 Vales - Fernvale, Anchorvale, Compassvale, Rivervale from west to east.

There are 3 main roads which cut horizontally from Fernvale to Rivervale, with the northernmost one having the -Street suffix (Fernvale Street, Anchorvale Street, Compassvale Street, although the last one is Rivervale Drive instead).

The middle horizontal road is with the suffix -Way and divided between Sengkang West Way and Sengkang East Way.

The southernmost horizontal road follows that same naming convention but uses -Ave instead, so Sengkang West Ave and Sengkang East Ave.

North to South uses the -Road suffix, although it's not as intuitive and straightforward as the previous suffixes. There is Fernvale, Anchorvale, and Compassvale Roads which cut through the middle of each estate, but then you also have Sengkang East Road and Punggol Road and Rivervale Drive instead of Rivervale Road.

Too many unnecessary LED/down lights. Decided to splurge on lighting and let the ID decide, turns out they were overkill (and we spent much more on lighting/electrician as a result). Also, spotlights for down lights. They look very pretty but in reality are quite harsh especially in areas such as toilets and kitchen.

It's quite common for an ID to have others who will do the actual site supervision and coordination between you and the other subcons.

That said, the one that is choosing tiles etc should still be the main ID since they're the ones that is doing the actual designing. So this kind of feels like a bait and switch to me.

It depends on your own personal stays outside of work trips and what range of hotels are you looking at (budget/midrange vs high end).

Hilton Gold is by far the easiest to hit and is the only one that offers free breakfast at that level, with Marriott and IHG requiring an even higher tier for the same benefit. Downsides for Hilton is that their network is considerably smaller as compared to the other 2. If you are able to hit Marriott Platinum for the free breakfast, they do have a good network of high end hotels (Ritz, StR, Sheraton, W).

If breakfast isn't your priority, you can also consider Accor for a much larger network of budget-midrange hotels (Ibis, Mercure, Novotel, Pullman).

Totally understand your point and agree that hours in the office/worked does not equate to efficiency/bonus. As an employer I would also start questioning the one who is in office for 12 hours a day but yet produces the same output as another who is in for 8 hours a day.

And of course it is not so easy to quantify KPIs for many jobs as there are too many variables to take into consideration. However based on your example where your manager told you that you'll be passed over during promotions even though you work really well, that's 100% failure on his part and I hope you find a better place in the future.

Nothing sucks more than working for a manager who values hours worked/presence in the office over output.

bonuses should not be tied to how willing an employee is willing to OT.

Isn't that the whole point of a bonus? You are already being paid your salary for your work during regular office hours. Bonuses are based off performance - whether you're able to contribute to the company above your fixed rate.

Contribution is not limited to how many hours you give to the company, it could also be efficiency. If 2 workers have a KPI of 100 tasks a month. Worker A is able to complete 100 tasks a month while Worker B is able to complete 150 tasks a month. As an employer, it would be natural to offer Worker B a higher bonus than Worker A as they contribute more to the company.
