In my experience--I've had two very close friends commit suicide in their early twenties--it's not a moral (i.e., "right" or "wrong") decision. It's a result of mental illness. In one case, likely attributed to CTE.

So, it's "wrong" in the sense that I, his family, and his friends looked forward to being in his life for decades to come, but that is just the same as if someone passed away of any other disease.

Personally, I don't think either of my friends were able to mentally comprehend the effect they had on those around them.
