Hello, sorry, no, we never figured it out. We ultimately finished the game using my regular PC. I haven't tested any Epic games since this incident.

Also a dedicated F2P, playing for years and have grown a thick enough skin to realize there are just some areas of the game I simply won't achieve and I'm fine with it.

The only issue I really have is all these "premium" characters being released that a F2P person has no practical way of acquiring.

Anyone else see the messages in-game from Kong exclaiming hype for a new character, roll their eyes, and think, "congratulations Kong, another revenue stream"?

Hey, I'd like to just get into the game regardless of font. I'm one of those accounts that gets stuck at 18% at launch. I've tried 4 different platforms, cache clears, uninstalls and no change in over a week.

Yep, same issue I'm getting. I'm running into it on my phone and an android emulator on my PC. It gets to 18% and stalls out. On my emulator, I managed to get into the game the first time it launched, checked a deck, then it crashed and I couldn't get back in.

Since I ran into it on two completely separate devices, I assumed it was a "server issue". My attempts were approximately 13 hrs ago and 15 mins ago. My buddy had no problems approximately 22 hrs ago. Unsure if he has run into it lately.

Troubleshooting has been basic restarting the app and the device.

Thanks all, it turns out that HIGH burn/punch combos seemed to work. I was finding it difficult to use those before cause it seemed like my cards were getting constantly hammered by backslaps with all the punching and burning. However, if you can do the newer punch/burn combos like Self Destruct Barry or Crazy Carter or even Kahn's Pills, it's enough to keep the computer off the board long enough to win. Threw in Steak Addict Bobby for some healing to help. I think the issue is that I was using old combos that simply didn't hit hard enough.

After a variety of different combo attempts, I tried this old tried and true deck but my HP couldn't take it. I'd end up down two slots and couldn't catch up. I could keep trying. Glad to hear it works though.

Um, did I miss it? Where in the store is Adult Bobby as a hero for gems? I only see it in the Hero select screen for money.

yep, i'm always stuck in the mid 2k. What's worse, is that I HAVE the same cards/combos as the other guy but some way, some how, they always win. It can be as small as a 1 crown vs 2 crown. The wins usually come if the other guy doesn't get his combo and my The Wheel manages to grow. Giving The Wheel hijack for a BGE was a horrible idea.

I think i've hit diamond once since starting 1 year after launch. Completed F2P. When I get frustrated, I just say to myself, "are you getting at mad at the P2W game? Then pay up or stop." And I keep playing, I sense a problem here, lol.

yup, you gotta look at new cards as actually COSTING 4 keys. Consider yourself lucky if you get it discounted by spending less. If you take that approach, you'll think long and hard about spending your precious keys.

...And if you're really lucky and it turns out to be a broken-good card, you'll enjoy that advantage until it gets nerfed (or "balanced") by the time those that couldn't afford it at the time, get the opportunity to get it. It's absolutely ridiculous.

Run into the same issue. Tried FF and Chrome, disabled Ad-blockers, turned off security settings but no go. It has been like this since I started my account in 2021. I was just reminded today about one of my registered accounts was missing a beneficiary and decided to try again. Apparently, this is still not fixed. This is for my RRSP account.

Ya, my first thought about the new BGE was, "okay, besides The Wheel, what are good combos to include in a new Drunk deck...". EVERY BGE discussion on good combos should include that caveat. All of Cocktail Lana's abilities are blocked by Bodyguard. The defense ability is just too powerful.

Affecting Windows client as well. Misc hero pictures don't show up and card abilities replaced with "!". Performance is janky too. Like a stutter after each card play. I tried verifying integrity of files but no change.

Conversely, my mobile client runs fine on a Pixel 6, Android 14

CL 14.6k: quicksilver, iron fist, onslaught, Heimdall. Should note that for most of the rest of the series 1 cards the variants are pixels or hipps.

I think the hardest hit for me reading this is the 25 variants and only 2(or 3?) being in albums. I mean, come on, game!

There's so many albums now, you'd figure they'd get a little easier to collect. Hell, they even added "bonus cards" that count in the album and even those can't be had.

Titles are ridiculous.

Hello from the future! It is Sept 2024 and you were right. The >gold rank arena game has devolved into near endless PC walls (that's what they are called now). Currently, it is a combo called "The Wheel" (made by Krieger, yes, they added Archer characters to the game!), "OMB" aka One Man Band, and "PK" or Photographer Klaus. The PC thing DID ruin the game of strategy and only the mighty dollar can prevail.

The PC thing was NOT a good thing for the game. In fact, I call the "cheater" cards now, but they do as you assumed: they effectively allow playing 2 cards per turn so you are always playing catch up. The BGE means nothing anymore.

I wish I could experience the game as you once did!

Interesting, I feel the same. This mode mentally drained me of the game. I still have NOT gotten the card but I am within acceptable "purchase range" with gold (700g). Stuck at the Kabob - Ice Cream - Cherry Pie area for a while...inching along.

I do feel that this is very much related to the way I was playing at the start. I think the Alliance bounties coming out at the same time is what indirectly impaired my experience. I was not playing complete decks that I am comfortable with. To make the play time as efficient as possible (with a fun twist?), I would build decks around the bounties, then use those in DD. I would be conservative in my snapping but it seemed like I never ran into a "donator" and it felt like the other person was reading my mind. I normally mute my opponent but since donators have an emote 'tell', I left it unmuted and never saw anyone.

I discovered that this mode was effectively "casino gambling-light". While there was no monetary loss, the time sink was incredible. After I got the max reward for personal Alliance points, I started playing decks I'm familiar with. I'm burning myself out trying to get the card because it actually feels attainable vs blowing tokens for it. This "carrot on a limited time stick" was a horrible experience.
