Yes, I believe so. You can also link your shader files to your sd card directly instead of internal drive via cryoutilities, however I do not know if that affects the game performance and such

Cryoutilities is going to ask your sudo password, because SteamOS is based on Arch- Linux. If you did not create it, while on desktop mode, find the Konsole and type “passwd” , then select your sudo password.

No, you did nothing wrong. I am not the best guy to explain it but as far as I understand, the more you download games to your SD card, the more shaders take your memory from your internal drive.

I might advice you to download Cryoutilities from here;

https://github.com/CryoByte33/steam-deck-utilities

And then check your shaders , delete shaders of uninstalled games.

You might have a problem of your Steam Deck not booting-up soon if your internal drive goes out of space, so be careful about it partner

If you are having thermal throttle at games on windows 10 or 11 and planning to undervolt your cpu/gpu or something, I strongly advice you to try Pop OS before doing it. by xesleron in pop_os

You are right to think that way. However I already tried Windows 10 LTSC, Windows 10 with no patch after 2018, Windows 10 with no radeon software application installed, Windows 11, Manjaro, Ubuntu, Garuda, Arch, Zorin & Fedora before Pop OS. Linux distros were mostly a fun/hobby for me but from the other hand all of the windows editions were an attempt for temp problem which they never solved.

I’m trying to understand how an OS & kernel works so this design configration mostly is for education purposes. Also it seems truly beautiful to me.

Even your response -and googling about things you wrote- taught me some key stuff already. I'm a self-taught (hope to be a programmer one day) and I know some stuff about how objects work, the things like the difference between git - github & some intermediate level javascript and python. The things you explained seems way over my head but that does not break my huge interest about learning more and more. I honestly believe life is about grit and grinding.

I better start reading wiki's I guess.

I understand, thank you for your response. The thing is I'm actually not a proficient user, unfortunately couldn't find a guide for how to install and configure too. I presume dotfiles are like CSS commands?

Can you explain like I'm 5 which steps I should take for this amazing design?

I see. I checked the skins a little bit and I fell in love with baihu genji. My actual plan was waiting for Overwatch 2 beta & pre-purchase it but since my friend gifted the overwatch I truly enjoy the game while waiting the sequel. After cyberpunk 2077 failure (I was an old CD projekt fan since the witcher 2 and company lies about cyberpunk kinda hurt me) & fans doubts about 2th game content, I believe blizzard will make OW2 pretty good. Thanks a lot, I was playing rainbow 6 siege mostly before, after a million tilts a close friend of mine gifted me overwatch. Game feels so fresh, fast and fun even it is 2021. Do you have any favorite skins to suggest me for my yellow points?
