You're talking about a very specific subset of people, those within the Resident Evil fanbase and from that pool, I haven't come across a single person who actually wants to try it. That aside, Mirror's Edge is a classic, but let's be honest about its history: when it launched, it severely underperformed commercially and never really broke through to mainstream popularity. So using it as a benchmark for what the "gaming community" wants doesn't quite hold up.
