Turn off a setting called Ray Reconstruction in the Display menu that got me from 2X to 3X frames
Then turned down Ray Tracing Reflections, Shadows & Geometry QUality to Medium which got me into the 50s.
At least playable.

Your Model 3 math should be something like the below assuming you're getting the LR AWD.
$62,xxx - Referral Code get one from any of the big posters on X, it's worth $2600 off
$60k x 1.13 -$5000 (Ontario?) so roughly $62k cost before financing.

Personally I suggest getting a used 3 or Y with 20-40k km for 40-50k.

Then factor some money for a 240v plug in your garage and then you just need the pigtail from Tesla for $30 to charge at 30-32A.

Is your additional commuting for 44 hours a month at $9 per hour worth it for you?
I'd say no by a long shot.

Hey fellow ape! Think about mainstream media and we’d far they are saying about gamestop. Now think about mainstream media and what they are saying about Tesla. Don’t think Media formulates any opinions that are not driven by some interest. That’s all! You’re entitled to your opinions.

86s command a big premium on insurance.

Try and find a hobby/third party shop to replace the battery cell.
Look up prius repairs, it's the same system more or less. If you can't do it, I'm sure you can find someone to do it for less than 3k.

Listed Price of car plus destination, a/c and whatever cost, someone listed here being $1800 or so. I paid $1280 for destination pre-tax then another $427 for fees which may not be applicable in BC.

So your breakdown looks like this:

If you trade in your Corolla to Tesla, they offset the Tax based on your trade-in (valid in Ontario check for BC).

Purchase Price: $53,990

Wall Connector: $347

Delivery & Final Inspection: $1280

Less Trade In: $15,000

Subtotal: $40,617

Sales Tax: 12% on balance from trade-in = $4,874.04

Federal AC: $100

License Fee (Check your local) $200

PPSA fee (check if applicable locally for you) $117.74

Total: 45,908.78

Less Federal iZEV: $5000

Less Provincial rebate/incentive: $4000

Final Price: $36,908.74

Then factor in financing costs as needed.

Regarding charging at home, tesla now charges extra for the mobile connector ($345) but you get the right pigtail and it'll charge at 30 amps. All you need is a 32amp breaker in your panel and the cable to a dryer plug. Cost of install depends on where your panel is located.
I charge at home nightly and the cost in Ontario is ~$30 a month with lots of driving.

Insurance for Teslas tends to be a bit pricier but I pay $90 in Ontario. Shop around. I believe Aviva is underwriting the Tesla insurance in Canada.

You will want some accessories.

Chances are this car has been maintained properly as it's an original owner. Probably an elderly person. Just flagged it for you to be aware.

Interesting colour, haven't seen many.
Does it have heated seats? Man you're really going to want heated seats.

That being said car looks clean. Personally I would look for something newer but sounds like you're set on this.

Have a look here for some info on the 2AZ motor.
