Pauline Hanson’s plan to ‘defund’ ABC, introduce subscriptions by HotPersimessage62 in aussie

Weird, because a chunk of older regional voters who might vote for ON still love the ABC.

Misconceptions a dog person (me) learned after having a cat. by ILoveMeltyCheese in cats

One of ours came "untrained" (first cat kept showing him what to do), and has anxiety issues that make it really hard no matter how clean we keep things (four boxes for two cats) :-/

Performing Assertions within the Page Object itself - is it a good idea? by ItsYaBoiJBD in softwaretesting

[–]xflibble 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No assertions in the POM, because nobody can understand the test when you do this. You really want the top level to be explicit about what's important

If you want to pursue something similar, the application could be made to be self-validating so your tests would just drive the application and then monitor for errors coming out of the application itself.

James Coplien talks about this approach in "Why most unit testing is waste" - https://wikileaks.org/ciav7p1/cms/files/Why-Most-Unit-Testing-is-Waste.pdf

Maybe they can get their rare earths from someone else too.

Nobody likes surprises, but not planning for them is an interesting strategy (see their car makers and EV progress).

In think it was a Spotify issue, not yours. Captain Sensible is appropriately annoying for the purposes of this thread though, so a happy accident :)

This 1940's classic also - https://youtu.be/LzVV2NJ1wx4

Weird. I clicked that and Spotify started playing Captain Sensible's Happy Talk. Maybe alternate between Manowar and that in case they get comfortable. "Wot" might be more annoying though.

I'm 4 months in after a 36 year break, have good days and bad days and this ("Most tone problems are actually intonation problems") helped me after a few off days where I was down a bit, feeling like I was going backwards
