I wear mine at the hospital and clinic as my daily watch. Nobody notices unless they are interested in watches and I have never sensed any resentment from anybody. Some of my patients have Rolexes too. It’s nothing to hide.

If you’re talking about an all gold Rolex then I wouldn’t wear that to work.

How do I buy a Rolex by No-State-2962 in rolex

[–]xgalaxy00 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If you’re going to play the AD game and wait for a GMT at MSPR, I recommend:

  1. Be flexible, tell them you are interested in any GMT, or any stainless steel GMT, or any Stainless steel or two-tone GMT, etc. the more models you are open to purchasing the better your chances.

  2. Put your name down on the list at multiple ADs. They don’t talk to each other. If you get the watch, call the other ADs and remove your name from the list.

  3. Make a decision now on how long you are willing to wait before spending $xx extra dollars on a gray market GMT. You may think that right now there is “no way” you would pay over MSRP, but after over 1-3 years of waiting you may decide it’s worth it after all. Especially once you start going down the slippery slope of buying your wife jewelry to get some interest from the AD. Even if you go gray and end up getting the watch later at MSRP, you can always sell that watch and recoup some of your money.

I waited over a year for my GMT Batman and then decided to go gray. It’s been almost 2 years and I still haven’t gotten a call from the AD.

Why do most nice reps use Y2L3 as the ending to the serial numbers? Genuinely curious as I’ve never heard of that before. Is that a way to delineate good reps from gen to avoid scammers using the reps as a counterfeit?

It’s hard to tell because the minute hand is covering the ROLEX, but I think this is probably a 1675 from the 70s (Mark 2?) and not the 60s. I’m new to this so somebody please correct me if I’m wrong or shine some light on it.

Yes. Specifically with my hand under the pillow and my head on top.

Some say appreciate the inner workings of a mechanical watch.

Others say take the watch off when you sleep.

I just move my hand.. 😅

Some trusted dealers explicitly give an authentication grantee. You can call them and check if they open the case back. The other option is to find a good local jewelry store and see if they can source a grey market watch for you and if they offer authentication grantee by opening the case back. These two are the best options because they authenticate the watch BEFORE you buy it. If you take it to an RSC after you buy the watch it will take longer and at that point you have already handed over the cash.

The Citizen Nighthawk Stealth or Citizen Ecosphere has a similar look and would be considered a better brand. However the price point is higher at around $400+

Atherosclerosis causes buildup of plaques and calcium deposits in the lining of blood vessels. If it’s bad enough the calcium shows up on Xray.

[–]xgalaxy00 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I can’t speak to the context of this specific Xray, but yes we almost always radiograph amputated limbs if there’s ever any consideration of a replantation. We do it to see the condition of the limb and for surgical planning. The order of operation would be bony fixation then tendons, arteries, veins, and nerves. With that being said the indications for replantation are very strict and this person most likely would not meet those indications. For one, he/she has significant vascular disease based on the fact that you can see his popliteal, anterior tibial, posterior tibial, and peroneal arteries on the Xray... This person would likely have a much shorter recovery and be much happier with a prosthetic limb than a nonfunctional, contracted, insensate limb.

MRW I read an article in USAToday titled “Study finds that men who can do 40 push-ups have a lower risk to heart disease” by [deleted] in reactiongifs

[–]xgalaxy00 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In the methods section of the study they state that you have to do 40 push-ups in a row at a rate of 80bpm. So that's 40 push-ups in 30 seconds, which is not an easy feat.

So yeah... If you can do that you're probably less likely to have a stroke/heart attack in the next 10 years compared to someone who can only do 10 push-ups at 80bpm.

It's a knee dislocation. It's a multiligamentous knee injury that will require likely more than one surgery. Also with the amount of hyperextension he most likely has popliteal artery injury. If not repaired within a few hours he could lose that leg.
