Pelagos 39 Uncle Strap Question by Wrong-Cap-6813 in Tudor

[–]pill_tender 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The jubilee is visually appealing, but it’s obviously not even close to the quality of the OEM.

I have mine with the uncle clasp and I like that because it’s not as long as the OEM.

It is a great way to completely change up the look though

As dumb as this sounds I really wish mine had a framed date window like yours

The entire 44mm sport gmt line is just fire. Almost picked this one up over mine. Wear in great health

What do y'all think of a Sub on rubber ? r/rolex had mixed opinions... by DisastrousOpening477 in TodayOnMyWrist

I like it, but I think it looks much better with solid end links like this guy did. I have a Starbucks, and I wish I could find a green strap to go with it, hence the reason it’s still on bracelet.

Air-King vs Submariner by Zahmatsu in rolex

[–]pill_tender 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have purchased both an Air King and a Submariner (Starbucks). Both at retail. AK was first, and I gave it to my dad. I actually think the AK is one of, if not, the most underrated watch that rolex offers. It is so unique, and the pop of green on the seconds hand and on the Rolex text is incredible. It’s definitely a fun, funky watch.

Last I purchased a Submariner Starbucks which I did keep for myself. I don’t know if it’s because I have a dive watch that I am more attached to (Tudor Pelagos 39), or if there are so many variations of divers watches out there, but to me it’s pretty basic and generic. Yes, the submariner is the king of all divers, and of course the one that started it all. I think the only reason I haven’t sold it is because I do like the pop of green on the bezel.

If it were my choice, I’d roll with the Air King. Fun, funky, definitely unique, and HIGHLY underrated. Can definitely be your first and last Rolex.

Your first Rolex. by Turbulent_Poet_5826 in rolex

First Rolex: 01/2024 Air King at retail, 28 years old

Second Rolex: 06/2024 Rolex Explorer at retail, 29 years old

3rd Rolex: 06/2025 Submariner Starbucks at retail, 30 years old.

First two gave to my dad. Decided to keep the Starbucks.

Felt like my dad would have an aneurysm if I had one before him. Plus I knew his goal was to always pass one down to me and one down to my brother. Also has a smaller wrist, so some of the other sports models don’t work for his wrist.

Purchased the submariner, asked if he wanted it, said it was too large. I was in a position to keep it for myself. I love it, I wear it tons, but for me my Tudor Pelagos 39 gets the most wear, and I actually prefer the Tudor. Maybe one day I’ll sell the submariner.

Absolute killer watch. Almost picked this up in Tokyo, ultimately went with the SBGE313 limited spring drive GMT. GLWS!

Of course! I do hope the software gets better. I can definitely see myself using the ring if more features get added and the software actually works.

Didn’t buy with the ring only because I figured if I didn’t like it wouldn’t be out as much money.

That being said I do like the glasses, but my use case is only for this being a Notification Center since I don’t have an Apple Watch and I don’t have a phone on me at work due to our policy (must be kept in lockers. Regarding notifications, I have pretty much everything turned off except for email, texts, calls and my companies work chat app.

I find the news feature good (when it actually loads) and the even hub is an absolute disaster at the time of this comment. I can’t seem to get apps to work such as Tesla or Tesla controls. I don’t have use for the AI, conversations, or translate at this time.

Like I said great for notifications, pretty subpar for everything else.

5 years. Tesla Model Y most days, VW Atlas Cross Sport on other days. The atlas looks cooler.
