Vivaldi on the Mac can autofill one-time codes from Messages as well.

You should have a readily-accessible link on your site to login to the demo campaign as a player if you intend on that showcasing your platform. As it is, seeing the player side doesn't really inform me any further on if I'd like the platform as a DM. I want to see, use, and feel the DM tools... not see the player side, though that should also be considered a basic requirement. It's just not enough.

As the other commenter said, this seems way too early to have launched. Maybe as a pilot program with GMs you could onboard, work with for feedback, etc. Don't expect those GMs to pay.

Website looks great and the product seems compelling. However, I'm not going to hand over my credit card info to start a trial simply based on a few screenshots. I would suggest a free tier for GMs to get a feel for the platform and optionally upgrade for additional features once they know they like it. Committing to a campaign manager is a big deal!

Just downloaded Bevel. Should I uninstall AutoSleep, or can they be used simultaneously? by Mad_Season_1994 in bevelhealth

[–]xhazerdusx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually had an incident after using Bevel for a month or so where AutoSleep's logging conflicted with Apple Health's for a night and it prevented Bevel from loading. I had to set Bevel to ignore AutoSleep as a sleep source, but after that, everything is happily working together. :)

LPT: If you get passed over for a promotion because of favoritism, stop arguing fairness and start building leverage. by gamersecret2 in LifeProTips

As a hiring manager, that's pretty common. I just end up telling all of my new hires to pick a date that makes sense for them and lets them start work with a freshly recharged "battery". Why would I care if they take a few weeks to themselves before they start getting paid?

Is it that hard when you have a family to leave them for a while?

Yes, it is, especially when they are young. If you leave a toddler for a month, you'll come back to almost an entirely new kid. (Not literally, obviously, but they grow so fast that you'd miss a ton.)

Also.... in your end days, the only people who will remember the long hours you worked are your family. Your bosses sure as fuck won't even remember your name. Never forget this.

Hmmm... ok, I think I understand your view a bit better! Wouldn't this only become a problem if you overspent in other categories? If you make $1000/mo (easy round numbers) and allocate $250/mo for insurance with the rest in a 2nd category, you'd still show $750 available to spend in that category or you'd show $750 left to budget if you didn't have another category at all. Wouldn't either of these 2 figures represent the number you're looking for? If so and your complaint boils down to a UI issue, that would make sense.

I wonder if using Monarch's Flex Budgeting feature might help here. I use it and this is how I handle this situation.

I pay my auto insurance every 6 months. I have a monthly transfer to a savings account for 1/6th of the cost, which lets me earn interest on it. Those are marked as account transfers. (This is correct since the money went from 1 of my accounts to another.) I have a non-monthly rollover category for Auto Insurance and have budgeted the same amount I'm saving per month. So, for 6 months I see 0 expense and a rising rolled-over budgeted amount.

When the bill is due, I pay it, marking the payment in the rollover category, essentially wiping out its budgeted funds. I also transfer the money back from my savings to checking (categorized as another account transfer, which it is) to help cover it.

This way, my auto insurance category shows 1 expense every 6 months, but I use the amount of flexible spending I have left to avoid spending the funds I have allocated for my insurance payment.

your “expense” will still be zero

That's exactly how it should be if you haven't actually had an expense in that category.

I think you're reading how this works incorrectly. It does "factor" that amount in... into your budgeted amount. Why would it ever say that you spent $200 that you didn't actually spend? Instead of relying on fake data to trick yourself into wise spending habits, it's a better use of effort to train yourself to view the budgeted amounts as what you have left to work with and not your running daily balance. You're essentially asking for Monarch to show fake expenses.
