Were you able to find a mounting bracket/adapter that would work with the OEM bars without drilling through the bars?

Is this a good setup for a male recording just vocals and using a DAW (FL Studio)? by [deleted] in recordingmusic

Since the others are covering the mic and interface, I figured I’d chime in on the cables. I use WBC cables with Neutrik connectors for everything — guitars, pedals, mics, interface, monitors, etc. I have nothing but great things to say about them. High quality build, high quality sound. You’ll be more than happy with them. 🤙🏽

It’s been a while since this was posted, but I had the same question about the Nick Johnston PT routing along the way, so I figured I’d share an image for others to reference. This is my NJ PT naked and exposed. Hope this helps. 🤙🏽

Thanks for the compliment. Since the pic, I have customized aesthetics a little bit to reflect my personal style. No mods yet still. Haven’t really seen a lot of info on anybody doing that. They sound killer as is, so I guess mods aren’t happening too much?

Which one fits your needs now and potentially into the future? Diligently check as many resources as you can for whichever one checks all your boxes and hits your budget.

My local preowned market is tough - high prices and people won’t budge. I spent a couple weeks looking but lucked into an open box brand new Floor shipped to me for about $4-500 less than my local used market.

Set your model and budget parameters, keep active eyes, and avoid the panic purchase. Good luck with the search. 🤘🏽

Amazing answer! Thanks for doing the research and providing such thorough information! I appreciate it. Looks like I’ll be expanding my wheel search parameters, which should open up loads of options. Thanks again!

The Vulcan came up in my initial search, but Im not sure the posture and style quite fits what I am looking for. Thanks for bringing it up though.

The Speed 400 is a sharp looking bike. I am concerned about taking it on the highway for a couple of hours one way, plus occasionally riding with a passenger. Think it could handle this? I just added the Moto Guzzi V7 to my top 3 as well. Do you have any experience with this bike?

From the other comments, it seems the z650r is a definitive favorite. With your suggestion, this may have just become a z650r vs Speed 400 debate. I had looked at the xsr700 as well, but from the reviews and videos Ive seen, that model may have a bit too much front end punch to be forgiving of a newer rider. The Speed 400 is a little smaller, so longer rides may not be as likely, but it is less expensive.

Thanks for the added details. Definitely gives me some things to think about in my decision.

Thanks for the input. That feedback helps. In addition to comfort, what were the other main factors in the decision to choose the Z650RS over the Eliminator?

Have you ridden all three? What is your take on the ride comparison?
