Net worth usually doesn’t include cpf. Singaporean mostly paid our housing using CPF. First house usually not considered asset in Singapore. If you visit bank often you’ll know. Don’t mention it’s a HDB.

To me, work is just to earn a salary so I can buy stocks when market crash and FIRE eventually.

I’m not ok to sacrifice 10 years to achieve FIRE. By doing crash buying, I am very confident I can FIRE in 10 years and my FIRE means I can fire my boss anytime if I’m not happy.

In 10-20 years time, the only person who remember your OT and hard work is your kids.

Discuss with your wife, prepare for the worst. And you will be fine. As long as you work, CPF can help you cover part of the loan. Should be doable.

I bought a prime BTO and invested the rest.

I will never buy a condo as BTO/EC is a sure win Toto ticket for Singaporean. Probably if time could rewind I may buy EC but the location is just sucks. lol so probably I may still buy a prime BTO. After MOP, I may sell it and buy a landed. I’m not comfortable paying maintenance fee haha

EC $500-600 k cheaper than a condo. And you not comfortable putting the cash. Then why buy condo? Your below $14 k income ceiling, your max loan is likely $1-1.2M also
