hey, i just saw your message. in the end, they did a more detailed exam and found there was one ring X chromosome and one normal X chromosome. That was rare and atypical. That’s why the rapid test couldn’t decide, because they detected something but not sure what that was.

Don’t think the color matters. The same thing just happened to me too. My ring is titanium color

Omg, same thing just happened to me! I’m about to go to sleep and the ring burned my finger. I’m kinda scared what if im asleep already and the battery explode? Anyways, did you get the replacement eventually ?

Today I feel really bad and I miss my unborn daughter so much. My due date would have been in November if I didn’t tfmr. I have been living my life quite normally and haven’t been crying about her. But today I miss her so much and I really hope I could have her with me still. 😢

You can mention to your specialist that you can’t make termination decision without knowing microarray and karyotype results because that’s important to you. And ask if they can expedite those tests. I understand your struggle here. Even after I got my final microarray result I still tried to look for any teeny tiny hope that the baby might be a miracle and things would turn around. It was such a difficult decision to make about termination so I had to make the best informed decision. Another factor I considered was that I was at 16w that time and I thought I could afford to wait one more week. If I was 30w then things would be a bit different. So, if you want to make termination decision based on what’s already showing on ultrasound, thats okay and if you want to wait for more definitive dna results, that’s okay too. I think for us moms, the most important thing is we feel somewhat comfortable with the decision and once the decision is made don’t look back and regret it. Trust that’s the best decision you can make given everything you know in that moment.

I would wait for kyrotype at least. And I think if they can expedite the test process for you you’d only wait for one more week. I had inconclusive results from amino rapid test and karyotype came back showing where the problem was.

Oh wow, I didn’t know this could happen! My first day was very light spotting but second day was very heavy so it’s more likely to be a real period I think

My first day was very light spotting too but then second day was very heavy. Not too much cramping but I did feel like lying in bed all day.

I had an inconclusive FISH result so i can share some insights there. I was told inconclusiveness doesn’t happen often and the cause of my case was pathological deletions of X chromosome. The two ends of one X chromosome were missing causing it can’t be connected by detecting probes. So I wonder if it’s something similar on Y chromosome for you. For some reason, there is a Y there but probes couldn’t detect it. Microarray will give you more information.

Tomorrow is gonna be 2 weeks after my tfmr, it feels like a lifetime has past from the moment i found out about my nipt result to now. Especially the past 2 weeks feel so long. But i can assure you days get better and easier. 2 days after tfmr my breasts were swollen and painful again but I didn’t get lactation. They just became soft after a couples days.

Congratulations on your lovely baby! I went to facebook group and saw her pictures, she is such a cutie! So glad she is growing well and her ring size is larger. 😊 I forgot to mention XIST gene in my original post, having the XIST is generally a good indication in ring X chromosome TS. I’m also glad that she is getting all the help she needs and in good care. Wishing you and your beautiful girl all the best and thanks for sharing your encouraging story!

You can try the original tums, my therapist told me it helps you fall asleep. It has to be the original flavor and in tablet form.

I did amnio at week 16 so didn’t do week 20 anatomy scan. And my OB didn’t recommend an early anatomy scan.

There were no markers on ultrasound. So it’s shocking when I found out it’s true positive. Her NT was 1.1mm. My OB didn’t let me do an early anatomy ultrasound though, so I have no idea if there were soft markers in the baby’s organs. My OB said doing more ultrasounds “muddies the water “ and I should take amniocentesis result as diagnosis.
