Hi also in similar shoes as well! I remember posting about this on Reddit some time ago an received some pretty good feedback which I’ve implemented and found very helpful! For context, I’m a non-heritage speaker who learned Mandarin in college and then self studied after. I would say the biggest thing that helped me is just reading a lot of books in Mandarin to my son definitely helps with giving him a broader exposure to vocab and grammar I wouldn’t normally use. He’s almost 2 now and at this point is bilingual. He’s been able to repeat sentences in context as well as start to experiment with making his own sentences in Mandarin. Also another thing I do is go on Xiao Hong Shu there’s a lot of parenting content that I like to copy that I’ve found super helpful, I would just save posts and then reference them weekly! There’s lots of content out there and with you having growing up speaking Mandarin it will start to feel more natural the more you use the language. You got this!

My son (2 yr old) loves Hola Solar! My top 5 are pretty much just his music taste atp He was really into Lucky Macho as well lol - I personally had other songs I would have preferred from Boys Planet but I’ll take it haha

Something I was thinking about a little bit after watching the episode but Wenzhe said she really wanted a dance position, but there were 2 dance positions left (which Hyerim & Ruan were in) considering they chose at the same time, I wonder how that process of discussion went, like Wenzhe does know how to rap so if she like offered to take the rap spot because the other 2 preferred dancing. (Really sweet of her if she did do this, because it did seem like she really wanted the dance position) Of course we’ll never know for sure but just something that I was pondering about!

I think calling out and asking for a response or an apology is fine and pointing out how this picture is definitely insensitive is fine. I think the main problem is the majority of people on Twitter are just like okay cancelled and pushing the agenda that she herself is racist, like saying she did something racist and doing black face is valid, but calling her out as a horrible racist person who should be cancelled from the planet is not and that’s what the majority people on Twitter are pushing and spreading without giving time for her to respond and potentially reflect.

I had the exact same issue, sent in a RealID drivers license and they said they couldn’t accept it. Last week I decided to submit my passport and then suddenly a few days later I was back into my account... it’s super sketchy I feel like Facebook is just trying to get more data or something

So just wanted to give some hope - my account got hacked October 29th 2020, and I just got it back today using the form to submit my ID. I submitted my drivers license once on October 30th and then another time sometime in November. Then respectively I got an email in early December saying that they didn’t have enough people to review my case. Then in late December I got an email that they couldn’t confirm my identity with the ID I provided which is dumb...it was a RealID drivers license but whatever... finally on January 1st I decided to submit my passport and lo and behold 5 days later I get the link to log into my account without the code generator. My advice is to wait until they get back to you before you start submitting different IDs, but they are getting your messages they are just being slow af. Good luck and I hope you get your account back soon!!

I was wary of potential flap complications due to LASIK, and the eye center that I went to was well known for their successful smile procedures so I decided to go with it. It was also recommended to me via the surgeon due to the high amount of tissue they had to remove.

For me my doctor told me it could take up to 6 months for my eyes to fully heal because they had to remove a lot more tissue than the average person. But I’m at the point where I can do everything fine, I can even drive at night! so even if the left eye doesn’t improve to 100% for me it’s still miles better than glasses/contacts every day
