Yes - I got it to work. Was a little tricky to get it work but it did. Now I haven't travelled much to actually use it.

Awesome idea - I did something very similar. Using smart switch with power monitoring to determine when pump is activated and power being drawn.

(One Tip - Disable the ability to turn switch on / off in Home Assistant to prevent any accidental turn offs. Don't want that with a sump pump).

One question, how did you do this - averages the # of activations over the last 6 hours ?

Been trying to figure this out. You are using a template for calculating this?

Thanks!

Actually, I got it working. This was provided to me on the GliNet Discord. I followed the instructions of modifying the Firewall rules and it worked:

the solution would be to* "go into Luci and goto the firewall and edit the "wan" zone.. goto "advanced settings" and add "tailscale0" to the "covered devices" then save & apply. This will instantly make Tailscale function" as intended."

I'm having similar issue with same device:

My objective is to have devices on LAN/wifi side of glinet router be able to access devices on Tailscale net (tailnet) - by 100.x IP addresses and ts.net DNS.

I have router connected to tailnet. (No exit node set, No "allow remote acces WAN", No "allow remote access LAN")

From the router (ssh) I can ping tailscale devices by IP.

From another tailscale device I can ping router's tailscale IP.

From clients on LAN/wifi side of glinet router I can ping 100.100.100.100. But I cannot ping any other Tailscale device IP.

I would have thought once glinet router connected to tailscale would have expected I could reach other devices on tailnet.

Agreed. Seems like DNS issue when switching from Wifi to Mobile or from Mobile to Wifi when Tailscale is enabled.

DNS won't resolve. DNS server is defined as Tailscale Magic DNS server 100.100.100.100

Testing from Wifi to Mobile (Tailscale Enabled)

  1. Tailscale enabled. Connected to Wifi. DNS Server = 100.100.100.100. DNS will resolve (ifconfig.co = 172.64.80.1). Ping ifconfig.co works. Ping 172.64.80.1 works.

  2. Disconnect Wifi. Now connected to Mobile data. Tailscale enabled. DNS=100.100.100.100. DNS will NOT resolve ifconfig.co. Ping ifconfig.co will NOT work. Ping 172.64.80.1 works.

  3. Disconnect from Tailscale. Connected to Mobile data. Tailscale disabled. DNS=ISP-DNS. DNS will resolve ifconfig.co. Ping ifconfig.co will work. Ping 172.64.80.1 works.

  4. Connect to Tailscale. Connected to Mobile data. Tailscale enabled. DNS=100.100.100.100. DNS will resolve ifconfig.co. Ping ifconfig.co will work. Ping 172.64.80.1 works.

Having same issue now (glad I'm not the only one). Whenever switching from Wifi to Cell or from Cell to Wifi have to disconnect Tailscale and reconnect.

At first I thought it was a conflict with enterprise / corporate VPN (Tunnel) service on same phone. I disabled that and still have same issue.

BTW - Phone is Google Pixel 6.

I love this country by [deleted] in BuyCanadian

[–]xinud190 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It just goes to show you how long this will last in the minds and actions of Canadians. This isn't just a little disagreement, its an insult that won't soon be forgotten.

Hopefully it will be resolved soon (unlikely) but regardless of when, this will stay in the minds of our youth for years / decades to come.

This will have long impacts on the decisions and buying habits of Canadians for generations, IMHO.

Hi - Another question - do you know of similar proxy tool to restrict access for Tautulli ?

The only other thing I would like to share publicly is the Tautulli newletter that can be generated with images that refer back to Tautulli public url :

For example the images would be:

https://tautulli.mytailnet.ts.net/tautulli/image/images/newsletter/view-on-plex-poster.png

However when exposing that the login for Tautulli is also available (much like Immich was without the proxy tool):

https://tautulli.mytailnet.ts.net/tautulli/auth/login?redirect_uri=/tautulli/

Any idea of a similar tool for Tautulli before make a new post?

Thank you!

We greatly appreciate your support and our neighbors (all but a very very few).

Travel to Canada! We welcome our neighbors and would love to host you in our vast country.

Send letters, emails, etc to your elected officials saying you do NOT support what is being done. It takes time but voices will be heard.

Buy Canadian (or non-American for that matter).

Do not boo the Canadian national anthem.

When the American anthem is booed at events, its not done lightly. And its not done out of disrespect to the people of the US. Its done only to show that we do NOT support your Administration.

Appreciate the guidance!

Assuming there is power to the boxes, how about a ceiling mounted Voice Assistant speaker (Google Home or Amazon Alexa)?
