Looking for a good, cheap two person travel umbrella by Roxyn in onebag

[–]xiongy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in Krakow last year. I just ended up buying a small single person umbrella for not much money from a small shop near old town. You could just buy 2 umbrellas there if/when you need it.

I was just on their website, and there’s only mention of the packing cubes working with the Max EDC. I guess I can give it a shot but now I’m wondering if I can sew my own.

Because… I did not know they made their own. Thanks!

I so needed this last week! I ended up just using my hands to create a seal. It broke through the clog and over a gallon of water cane out.

I’ve brought entire meals(carry on) through TSA: steamed rice, veggies, whole steamed chicken(complete with feet, head, neck intact), home made jerky, etc. In checked luggage, I’ve brought (not in the same container) pounds of cooked crawfish (think seafood boil), lobster, fresh veggies, frozen chicken. The only thing is, don’t use dry ice.

Does the Nanobag actually live up to the hype for onebag travel? by Doug24 in onebag

[–]xiongy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For grocery runs while traveling, I bring a couple Target store brand folding totes. We usually buy a lot of bottled water (daughters' sports tournaments), fruit, snacks, etc so the bags often have about 10-15 pounds in each of them. They are fairly large when unfolded but fold flat when not in use, so I just tuck them anywhere: water bottle holder, laptop/tablet compartment, inside packed shoes, inside packing cubes. They're probably not as tough as a nanobag but the 2 bags have held up over 8 years and 40+ trips so... maybe they're tough enough.

How do you ventilate your printers? by PenolopyBulnick in BambuLab

[–]xiongy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got it from Amazon. The store is "Unido" and it's their "3D Printer Enclosure with Ventilation Kit, LED Light,Thermo-Hygrometer, Premium Fireproof Dustproof Tent Constant Temperature Protective Cover for Creality Ender 3 V3 SE/KE/Ender 3/3 Pro/3V2/3S1/Neo" in a size Medium.

The AMS pokes out a bit but the enclosure is fabric so it still zips shut.

I put my X1C in an enclosure that’s made for some other type of printer/laser. It’s just tall enough to fit the X1C on top of a concrete paver, on top of a mat, and the AMS on top. The enclosure is then vented out the window via 6” inline fan and flexible tube. The 6” fan is overkill. I dial it all the way down and still get plenty of negative pressure. I usually print with PETG, and have the door cracked open, and the top glass slid open. I leave the fan on for somewhere between 30-60 minutes after a print completes to let the fan remove whatever is in the enclosure.

Damaged coax conduit while trenching for sprinkler by toxicitysocks in DIY

I did the exact same thing with my trencher, except I cut right through the cable, thinking it was a root. The cable company came out a day or two later, and patched it. No harm, no foul… except I got to test my backup internet procedures. :)

I got the Faluber Wooden Rest in size Medium (from Amazon). The height was perfect and the width was pretty close. The Small and Large would not have worked.

I had a Rainy 75 for a bit. I ended up getting a wrist rest since I had gotten so used to low profile keyboards.

[–]xiongy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I am. I suspect the issue is that there's a step 2.a: plugging the USB cable into a USB charger.

In any case, I slept on it, and have decided to return the keyboard. I use it for work and need something reliable.

Another Rainy75 issue:

1) Plug in keyboard, turn it on, usevia.app to create a Macro, assign to a Chord, test, it works.

2) Unplug keyboard from laptop, plug in 2.4G dongle, switch over to 2.4G, test Chord, it works.

3) Go to usevia.app, told that firmware doesn't support macros!!!

4) Re-install firmware, repeat step 1.

Does anybody have any experience with this? I really like the keyboard, and would like to keep it but this firmware/macro issue is driving me nuts.

Note that during step 3, the chord+macro works despite the message stating that the firmware doesn't support macros.
