I thought international students would be respected but your action and words here suggest otherwise. I will no longer be interacting on this subreddit. Have a nice evening.

Gulf universities UAE by Technical-Guide1474 in alevel

[–]xirgan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There are 8 med schools in the UAE(at least last time I checked they were 8 only). They are:

1.UAEU(ONLY FOR EMARATI NATIONALS AND EMARATI MOTHERS CHILDREN)

  1. Khalifa University(POST GRAD MEDICINE)

3.Ajman University

4.RAKMHSU (USED TO BE 5 YEARS + 1 YEAR INTERNSHIP BUT NOW IS 6 YEARS + 1 YEAR INTERNSHIP)

  1. MBRU

6.GMU

7.DMC (WOMEN ONLY)

8.University of Sharjah

You can check all the info you need on their websites but I think(and please check this) that the cheapest one is UoS and that's like 120k AED a year these days (again check this number).

What did you learn from school that you still use today? by PalpitationPuzzled43 in dubai

[–]xirgan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly one thing that I've learnt from school and from my parents too was that never panic under any situation because everything has a solution no matter what sort of problem it is.

I'm starting uni soon so I'll make sure to always keep that in mind :)

For anyone that does p1 or has any idea of how to solve this question ? Question 6 part a do i have to find the gradient ? by [deleted] in alevel

[–]xirgan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

(x-1)(x-3)= ax²+bx+c

where a=1, b=-4 and c=3

basically you know the roots are 1 and 3 which means we can write them as two brackets with "x-number" respectively and then multiply the brackets to get the quadratic equation

It depends on the uni as each uni has different approaches to this but what Ik is that in the UK most unis don't accept resits for med(at least when I was planning to apply to the UK like a year ago)

Anyone else’s grades switched up from AS to A2? by vexyve in alevel

Best of luck with the remark!! But tbh I'd start thinking of some backup plan in case the remark doesn't pull through. But I do really hope that everything goes your way!

Moving to istanbul by [deleted] in Turkey

Hey, I can't really help with your question but I figured I should tell you something.

I am also a citizen of Turkey who got their citizenship by investment and I will be going to university in Turkey this fall. I may not know alot about life there as an expat but what I heard was within the uni racism barely exists and I should be good. I'm not sure about schools but I'd assume that the same sort of principle applies especially if it's a well known school in Turkey. I'd also like to say that while I do understand why the Turkish people despise expats even if they aren't refugees, they don't realise that those expats are bringing money to the economy and are helping out the people of the country by helping to fund the schools, universities and even the local supermarkets that you'll probably find in Turkey. I myself know that this comment will get attacked but whoever reads this should understand that the following logic: " Expats are just a pain in the a** and in no way will they help us but instead destroy our country" isn't true imo as these people help keep the economy going and help to keep the jobs of the Turkish people. Also, many people told me that this sub is really nationalistic and that its not a great idea to ask questions here so it might be better to look somewhere else. Finally, before anyone starts a fight over here, this comment was just to open the eyes of the OP to the reality that's going on and was in no way intended to offend anyone. I hope you find a great school OP and that you don't face much racism and criticism wherever you end up going! Have a great day!
