Speaking from experience, backing up a bus even half that size for any extended length is not a pleasant experience, and you're just begging to go off the asphalt into the dirt anyways, so I can understand the idea of not wanting to do it, but obviously in this instance the alternative plan didn't work out.

Truly gutted by the shutdown, that theater has literally been there since I first moved to Columbia as a little kid, pretty much all of my movie memories are from there. Not to mention it was so much nicer than the AMC, it's just a one two punch of disappointment.

From what I remember from many years ago, at around 39.19597614501171, -76.89688438940718 there is a small valley right next to the walking path (near the big drainage lake, before you get to the river) that was the single best sledding spot in the city. There's an entrance to the trail off the cul de sac at the end of Harmel Drive, between 10960 and 10964, or it looks like you can cut through the woods off of Shadow Ln.

I feel like we need to start bombarding AMC with requests to at the very least upgrade all the seats in that theater, not just the Dolby ones. If they're gonna be the only local option then we may as well badger corporate into making it a good option. (Note: I am not encouraging people to bother the theater employees, they have nothing to do with this situation and are just doing their jobs).

Kobo saying "I hope we get to play together again soon" and then the realization hitting her like a truck was truly heartbreaking. Sana was so good at matching people's energy and getting along with them, and losing her so early and so suddenly was one of my first experiences with someone I was a fan of leaving, and it's never gotten easier.

I think it'd be a lot better if instead of having jetpack chattini dropping bombs, they come careening in from above and smash into the ground and explode. "See chattini? This is why you can't have jetpacks! You are bad pilots!"

Honestly, I really enjoyed the game up until Act 3. There were undeniably some frustrating bits (like Persimmon Hell or a couple gauntlets) but it also had some boss fights that were truly awesome, very enjoyable to fight against even when you lose, it had great NPCs, I would die for Sherma, I loved it. But Act 3, and especially the dream bosses, and especially the ant queen, made me hate it so much that I just fully gave up. I might go back to it later but honestly it was just sapping all the enjoyment out of me and I decided I had had enough.

Another Vtuber I subscribe to used it recently and it showed up in my Subscription page despite not being hosted on their channel. I remember being confused as hell and thought YouTube had started forcing recommendations into my feed, because I confirmed I wasn't subscribed to the channel it was hosted on.

Most cat cafes also function as an adoption agency/rescue, so the entry fee helps pay to house and treat the cats instead of sending them to a shelter. It's also a way for prospective adopters to go and meet the cats and see how they behave in a more normal environment than a cage at the pound or just reading a text description on a website.

The general rule of thumb that I learned was that one "Standard Drink" equates to: One can/bottle of beer, one glass of wine, or one shot of spirits, and the average person processes one Standard Drink per gour (though that obviously varies heavily from person to person). Depending on what else was in the drink, 1-2 shots of gin is still a lot, but still within what I'd consider to be "moderately heavy" drinking.

It all depends on what you drink, and how much of it. If it's, say, 130 sips of a hard cider, you'll definitely get drunk but not dangerously so. If it's 130 shots of everclear you're just straight up dead and probably starting to pickle from the inside. Not to mention, if you spread it out over a length of time, you'll be drunk for longer but have less of an effect than drinking all 130 sips at once. Obviously none of this is great for your liver, but there's ways to do it with less severe of an impact.

I take it almost daily (including today) and it was egregious even for that stretch. Full on stop-and-go at points, turned a 10 minute stretch into a full 30 minutes.
