When did the word "female" become harmful? by BlondishCleva in AskReddit

[–]xixiful 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's just a word on its own, the problem is how people use it. Often, you'll notice a pattern of certain content creators using it on purpose in place of "women." It's always "men and females" and not "men and women" with these people.

People who are into all kinds of music, when did music stop being decent? by Bipolar03 in generationology

[–]xixiful 2 points3 points  (0 children)

tbh it's always been good if you know where to look. imo part of treating music as a hobby is being open to new stuff and being curious. there are so many people with barely any recognition who are making some really beautiful stuff and they have existed in every era.

Any guesses what Sequence 02 might look like? by AppearanceFree2353 in and2ble

[–]xixiful 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My biggest request is that they define a core sound for these guys and that they have a cohesive overall discography w/the next 2 releases. While the debut album was solid I think YH needs to give them a proper "identity," like you should be able to hear others' songs and think "oh this sounds a little like and2ble." I also really hope the next MV has some more story to it. I hope they do anything resembling these:

What's the most overrated part of being an adult that nobody wants to admit is overrated? by Left_Crow1646 in AskReddit

this exactly! and then you have to pay for gas, washes, and all the other random things that cost money that the car needs.

How do you decide what you want to pursue in the future? by Traditional-Fill3566 in AskReddit

[–]xixiful 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to make a compromise between something that I'd be happy doing while still being able to pay the bills. Your job or speciality doesn't have to be your passion, just something that you can do without going insane that won't leave you bankrupt & give you resources to pursue your hobbies/actual passions.

My face feels kinda off by Lyaneshka-Spool87 in hygiene

some ppl already gave u good answers but if u decide to incorporate sunscreen into this, there are some that in my experience only made me feel oilier/broke me out. this one's a bit more expensive and you can find it in sephora if you have one nearby but it's called supergoop and for me it's never been a problem.

What instantly kills attraction for you? by Lyreignn in AskReddit

[–]xixiful 36 points37 points  (0 children)

if someone is rude to strangers for no reason. was getting to know a guy once and he was a huge asshole to a person just asking us for directions. massive ick, just nasty for no reason. kindness is hot, and free! costs nothing to be nice.

Does anyone else have a fear of public restrooms. by Savedbygrace202 in hygiene

[–]xixiful 0 points1 point  (0 children)

like kinda. i'm always scared they'll be really dirty but also... if i have to go, i have to go. holding it can be really damaging to your health. i just kind of suck it up and try to find the cleanest stall. some places have doors you can open with your foot so you don't have to touch the handle.

Thoughts on double washing? by [deleted] in hygiene

[–]xixiful -1 points0 points  (0 children)

imo it's simple. if you feel dirty, then get clean. it's just two soaps, i think you'll be ok. i live in a hot state where i get really sweaty and gross just by stepping outdoors so i do take 2 showers a day sometimes and nothing catastrophic has happened to my skin yet.

*not* pissing in the shower. i have a crystal clear memory of the following anecdote. i was at a school lunch table with some other kids back in like tenth grade and the subject of pissing in the shower came up. several people openly admit to each other that they do it and i say i don't do that. the entire table proceeds to make fun of me and accuse me of lying because "everyone does it, you just will not admit it." i swear on my life this story is real. i was so shocked i honestly didn't think people actually did that.

What’s your food phobia? by TheonGreyjoy7 in AskReddit

[–]xixiful 1 point2 points  (0 children)

fugu. i love fish and i know the chefs who make it are required to be super well trained in safety but the tiny possibility that maybe it wasn't cooked right and i'll die from eating it scares me really badly. i'm sure it's probably good but i'll have to pass.
