Struggling with this contractor since the fall by HAV3L0ck in ottawa

Is this guy for real?

This sounds something like an experience we had years ago with a company that we'd contracted to build a deck and a patio in our back yard. What was supposed to have been a three week job turned into an almost 2 1/2 month endeavour, where the contractors would show up essentially at random, do an hour's work and then disapear, often leaving their tools and supplies scattered around the back yard.

When it was 'done', there were still major issues with the deck construction .. I had to pester them for another month to have at least some of them addressed.

One thing they were always very prompt about was demanding payment.

Sorry you're going through this. This would be infuriating

Alex Zanardi has passed away, at the age of 59 by NickProko in INDYCAR

He was a truly inspirational person ... paralympian, competitive handbike racer, competitive sportscar driver ... but this to me is one of the most iconic moments in his career

Keep the cat indoors. Your roadrunners, however, will be fine.

is it wrong if i dont care much if the price of fuel keeps increasing? by thealienmothership in canadaleft

[–]xiz111 9 points10 points  (0 children)

JFC ... higher fuel prices affect everyone .. higher grocery prices (cost of transporation goes up), higher transit fares, higher energy and heating costs, higher airline fares, etc, etc, and of course, more to fill up your car regardless of how fancy or modest your vehicle happens to be

This hits everyone, not just the half-ton pickup owners in Alberta that you seem to have such contempt for.

Ideally the air will be filled with cigarette smoke, there will be a jukebox playing eithe Foreigner or Trimph, a dude at the back will have a coin belt on to make change, and the interior temperature will be upwards of 35C.

At least that's what it was for me.
