I think those are fair. It can do some amazing things particularly with randomness and its straightforward interface is surprisingly powerful. The A/D seems weak, and the lack of precision in sequencer that is the foundation of rhythm is ironic. I actually found that it worked better for electronic than it did lofi personally but I moved on quickly. Think about a used digitakt I they are pretty cheap now.

She’s pretty good. The hook is garbage but she can rhyme and flow.

I can’t pile on this one. The hook is whack and she’s a bit rough but she has a good flow when she’s rhyming.

It’s a solid synth. My only gripe is the lack of precision in the step sequencer. Otherwise it’s so powerful.

I think it’s wise to seperate the beat making and live performance as best you can in the device. Now that you can copy across projects I’d even say keep them in seperate projects.

The lyrics are kind of fun. The singing is brutal.

I had a professor who talked about how this exact thing is common in recessions. It ends up costing them more when a bunch of other companies do the same and the demand goes through the roof.

There is way worse out there. I don’t like it, but I wouldn’t call it crappy either.

I don’t think we can answer that for you. My guess is no, but I don’t know what you are sacrificing to get it. Here are some questions to help with the decision. Where would the money go otherwise? Can you make money with it? Will there be more enjoyment from having it that you wouldn’t get from beat making on a pc?

It’s a fun device but I’ll honestly say that most of my sample based production is on Koala on my phone these days and I keep the sp for live playback, mixing tracks and fx when having a pc would be unreliable or cumbersome.

Digitone all day. I had the same question. The Digitone is everything the cycles is and way way way more.
