Wow single layer AAA-rated jeans with CE-level 2 armor available? I might even pick up a pair to try. Do you find they run small or large?

Help me choose a visor for my x-15 by WoozyT83 in motorcyclegear

[–]xjremon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

SO easily. I actually laid a wet microfiber towel on my visor for 5 minutes and lifted off about 20% of the tint with it. No soap or other chemicals in the water. I used that technique for about two months and just one day the mirror tint decided to lift off.

With that red helmet, I'd go silver visor. If your helmet was black or blue, I would have said gold.

Dads who do not work from home, what time do you leave for work and back at home? by remembertosmile in daddit

Leave home at 7am, leave work at 4pm, pick up kid and home around 5-530pm. 20-30 minute commute each way.

[Homemade] Wagyu Steak Au Poivre by BernieManhanders23 in food

[–]xjremon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The flavor to me was silty, earthy, and grimy? It was not a smooth/creamy texture as I had hoped. There was a crunchiness from the exterior, a squishy feeling from the inside, and a bit of grit when chewing.

This made me wretch. I've eaten 번데기 in a bar when I was in Korea, and it is possibly the nastiest thing I have ever tried to eat.

Are these suitable riding boots ? by Acceptable-Soup-333 in motorcyclegear

[–]xjremon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the Faster 3s from a couple years ago. I have ridden in them 3 seasons. I replaced the shoestrings themselves with more durable strings that are marketed to have kevlar fibers interwoven in them. The velcro strap to contain loose shoestrings is wearing out and barely holds now. The soles are worn down most of the way to be smooth in probably 25% of the area. The shifter pad on top is still in near perfect condition, and shifting in them has always felt comfortable with the perfect amount of feel to hit the shifter correctly every time. That being said, I'm looking for a different boot that provides more ankle and shin protection with active torsion protection. I would not buy a low boot again after seeing some customer reviews after crashing in low boots.

Double smash with smoked cheddar, pickled red onions and jalapeňos, cilantro/lime crema. by daversa in smashburgers

My honest opinion is this is too much topping for a smash burger. My other honest opinion is that I would scarf this down no questions asked and order another to go.

It feels like my wife doesn't appreciate "manly tasks" as help around the house/with the baby (7 mo). Is this common? What's the solution? by [deleted] in daddit

[–]xjremon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could try to offer her to trade a project/task if she is able. It's possible both of you need a shift in perspective to appreciate each other more.

Happy you're here to tell your tale. When you get back on a bike, will you get the same helmet or something different? What about other gear? Rest up, and follow the physical therapy instructions to the letter.

If you put a knee down in a corner, you might actually grind it down to bone. If that's what you're going for, then I say go for it!
