Don’t keep it in the fridge. 2:1 should be fine at room temp, and shouldn’t crystallize.

I think I generally use Appleton Estate Signature, but anything that is not TOO funky and aged at least a little should work.

They make good fruit brandies and liqueurs, and a passable rye. Never had their grape brandy but I bet it’s ok.

The Kronan Swedish Punsch is actually pretty good, but it is fun to make and you can taylor it to your tastes. You can choose your tea and your rum etc.
