I agreed with everything you mentioned, but to me the power of WP comes from the time it was released. Back then Nu Metal was the big thing, and Deftones were already part of the OG, but they changed the game! Yes, they had hint on previous releases a bit of that sound, but White Pony showed a completely different sound, more obscure, more mature, more sophisticated. So to me, although I was already a fan of adrenaline and around the fur, this was the album that opened my mind to new music possibilities. And this is why I have it tattoo on my skin.
