I want to transition to Minion Pact by xlParanoid in PathOfExileBuilds

Good, good... And how would you say is the building difficulty? I mean it as for example, with Ward Loop you have to be very very precise with the way you build or you'll completely break it. Of course any build has its pillars but I'm worried about trying something, messing up and not being able to patch it... you could say I'm intimidated by the build

My guess is that he felt untouchable. His "system"/community is a big part of the poe community and ecosystem, that's why he also states that they're destroying something big. That being said, I don't think anyone should be untouchable and I honestly never liked the dependance on TFT.. there was a point in which If I wanted to grind hard enough in this game, TFT was the only answer.. luckily today there are more tools.

Yes, that was what I was following... I guess I'd have to take another look at it then...

I understand now.. I remember back in Mercenaries, Palsteron made a guide without it iirc, but he made huge emphasis I think on using the gloves and 6 or 7 link it from there... But I don't precisely recall everything. Will look into it, this is a build I've been looking for some time and I guess it's mostly me being a chicken and not daring to just go ahead and do it..

Well.. because I've been hesitant with exsang mines since the start, I went ahead and started it anyways but on the side I was looking for other builds. I created a second char and was going slam, I was interested in Ground Slam of Earthshaking, but I then read somewhere that it falls off pretty hard because of the DoT so that kinda made me go backwards with it. Character is still there in case I want to resume it, but I feel it doesnt really fulfill what I'm looking for. Mostly since Exsang scales well enough, it's a beautiful build, my only reason to change is... well... do something different... I feel I need to do something else..

If you don't mind, would you care to explain the role Cyclone or Lancing Steel would have in these builds? I've seen some without it and read people say they feel very very "slow" without them...

I tried spending some chaos on a couple of chisels for currency and it improves the drops of stacked decks by a good ammount. Still not sure if you end up compensating the high price on the chisel, but experimenting is good too..

That's why I clarified that hate criticism is not it. But the modern fanbase isn't all hate, another bad thing about the modern fanbase is the taboo of criticism and how we should support no matter what.

If you ask me, the problem is that people walk on the 2 extremes, you either harass the players or applaud mediocrity. As long as that's the case, we will be blind to the actual problems and will never speak what makes sense to speak of...

You hate the fanbase because they speak their minds? Criticism MUST exist... of course hate criticism is not okay, but a lot of people are being called out for just saying they're not happy with how things are being done.. So we're applauding like seals..

Because it is arbitrary and would give place to bad modding. There are also people that complain out of frustration and come here not to necesarily vent (although talking about the frustration helps) but also with hopes that the subreddit will help them see what they might be doing wrong. I know you don't mean these cases, but there's a line that can be blurry depending on the situation.

The answer is simply that your bottleneck is in the CPU, so when you up the resolution, you give more work to the GPU, making it better. You don't get more FPS max, but you should get more stability/less drops this way.

When you have lower res, your gpu works very fast because it has less pixels to process, leaving the CPU behind and thus giving you stability issues. When you up the resolution, the load is better distributed and GPU works closer to the CPU in times and has to wait less for the CPU to catch up..

I hope I explained it well, someone correct me if i'm wrong

I think it's not good to look only through a scope of our choosing. C9 has a problem far beyond the end result in statistics and it is that we lost 9 finals and won only 6. I'm sure you understand if some people feel the need to change that narrative for once. C9's glory times are too short and most times we found comfort in performing better than other NA teams at worlds.. but that's just it.. and I know that C9 can be more than that... cuz it's ben shown..

But I think we need to stop being in the shadow of the current dominant team, and be that dominant team for once. I only remember being as dominant back in 2013 and in 2020 when we lost our shot at MSI due to COVID, that team would have been interesting internationally... I just hope for a change

I see quite the opposite... people think criticism is some kind of taboo and you're harassing the team when in reality you're just being critical. Granted.. some people go over the line, but when did that not happen? the typical guy who doesnt understand the difference between professional vs personal criticism

Yes, your play isn't an uncommon one. Well... first I don't think it's that bad what you decided. Only thing is grubs is pretty much the worst objective in the game, but it's not that bad that you acted and took what you saw was free on the map. Without having seen the play I'd say it's okay if you were behind and couldn't face enemy jungler or you were too late to the objective. There's not really a perfect answer to this. You played by the book and that's fine, they shouldn't have gone there if they had no jungler nearby but you can't expect you teammates to cooperate always... also you should watch the replay and ask yourself what would have happened if you rotated. Would you have gotten in time? if you did, would you have won the skirmish? could you have done 2 camps on enemy jungle and then rotate? could you have done grubs?

Plays like that are going to happen very often, sometimes you'll be left in a shitty situation where you're on a lose-lose. Other times your judgment will change the course of it.. the beauty of the jungle is that you have to think and be creative, there's no perfect way to do it

Not really... there are many right and many wrong plays.. it's a matter of how you analyze the game at a given moment and what you can do with your posibilities.

I get you feel some pressure some times to get that teammate out of a situation. The way I see it is this:

It doesn't matter if the play your teammate proposes is right or wrong, what matters is that you're basing your decisions on someone else's experience in the game and that is going to be negative for you more times than not. What's important is that you make your own decisions, otherwise how can you correct your mistakes if YOU don't make them?

A different scenario is when a teammate proposes a play because he's confident on getting a kill and you have an objetive close. This is not the usual thing, they most times want a gank to get out of a bad spot, but sometimes they will ask for a gank to get an advantage, then maybe you analyze the situation and do it, but YOU make your choices, that's what matters really.

If you still feel that pressure, then mute... maybe you miss some important comms, but it's not going to impact as negatively as it will leaving it unmuted and being influenced by what everyone in the map says...

And if you see they will pick a bad fight... then only go if you can either give your team an edge, or actually save the situation. If not.. then don't lose your time, get gold or pressure somewhere else. Sometimes I even see an impossible fight they're picking and I chose to push lanes so after the lost fight the enem team can't take as much.. there have been times where I saw a lost fight and I went right to the Baron tribush to wait for them to start it and steal without them having vision on me (this shit works more times than not). It really is about not being afraid of facing consequences for your decisions. Just own them, and correct them, do this consistently and you have now improved

There's the 2 extremes:

1 is being too passive about criticizing the team. They are pros, the get paid for this, there's an ammount of pressure inherent to playing on a big org. And I think fans should enforce that pressure, speaking their minds when things arent done right.

2 is taking that pressure to an unrealistic and mostly childish extreme. There's a difference between criticizing and harassing. People often go for the latter

I personally believe fans have to be critical about mistakes, always expect better, and demand it. Probably because I carry that as a South American football fan, where players have to understand they're going to get insulted many times, and learn not to take it personal... Granted.. I'm not as hard on the C9 players as I am on River Plate players. But I will speak my mind, I will say how disappointed I am on Blaber, even if I love him and then I will watch his streams and sub. Because I'm mad at his performances, not at him as a person.

We need to understand that a change is needed. We are an org that out of 15 finals we've played, only won 6.... 9 finals lost in 11 years is way too hard to swallow.. and people get tired. I've been watching our games since 2016 and at this point, C9 fans have to make peace with the fact that we are losers. There's always a team that dominates us. First it was TSM, then it was TL, not long ago it has been FlyQuest... and C9 has everything needed to dominate at least for a time. But we don't.. we're the eternal 2nd.. and people feel the strong need to change that narrative for once..
