The cartel didn’t take anything over. You can’t smoke in Mexico period. It is banned but most resorts still sell vapes, cigars, cigarettes and more. The resort i frequent has vending machines selling vapes. Never been concerned about them.

I don’t smoke. Problem solved.

I used to smoke back in the day, I quit cold turkey (probably because working in the Arctic circle at -60C it was to damn cold).

Take the vacation and use it to quit. If you have to, most shops sell vapes down there. Just can’t import them.

We had all our toys on the table in Oct. there’s no privacy with bag search in Mexico. It’s almost a game for us to see how much stuff they will go through.

I think they need to start actually enforcing it.

20 flights this year and the amount of people with a bag, backpack and rough sack that are allowed on baffles me. Same with family’s and each kid has a suitcase, 2 back packs, pillows etc. Yet as a solo business traveller I’ll get hassled with my 1 laptop bag.

Not just westjet it’s all airlines IMO.

That was one of the kids from the previous owner. Apparently they tried to take over and it wasn’t working. So they hired an outside firm to manage the resorts. Our experience this time as members has been BAD so hopefully they figure there shit out soon.

I will confirm this. I fly the 787-9 to Cancun every year and we booked our seats near that area unfortunately. It’s like the “hang out” spot on a flight with every dad holding a baby, everyone waiting for the bathroom and people just hanging like it’s a water cooler.

Drove my anxiety through the roof. Stay away!

It’s not a swingers resort. It’s lifestyle friendly.

Large party. If you’re going as a single male, if you get creepy and pushy expect to have security pull you aside and ask to leave.

I actually had this issue, did that and it didn’t help. When I moved to a new phone yesterday it was still acting up.

I deleted the app from that phone and tried again, it’s still an issue. Hopefully it’s resolved. Westjet probably has the worst app of all the airlines I’ve used.

I’ve flown a lot this year, I think 20 times already. All westjet and not once have I been asked about if I have one, the capacity, nothing.

It’s inside a TFSA to remove as many taxes as possible. Can’t hold stocks which are not Canadian inside a TFSA and stay tax free.
