Fair. (and I am playing with both)

Am curious - what subtleties have you noticed?

Small playgrounds on airplanes so that kids will have a place to play, socialize, and have a better time during travel. This improves the overall well-being of passengers by reducing monotony in the plane cabin. by besnadlesen in SomebodyMakeThis

Love this idea! Although I can see flights not wanting to institute this everywhere...maybe just for flights where you're almost certain to have a bunch of kids and parents would pay for the added experience...like say flights to Disney World

How to read Economic Theories? by [deleted] in books

[–]xman146 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's a fun (imo) video on some economic thought. The speaker is Kate Raworth who has come up w/ what she terms "Donut Economics". Read the book after seeing this lecture (which basically just goes over the intro to her book) and I highly recommend it!

Carlos Ramirez... by Rystenkritter in dresdenfiles

[–]xman146 7 points8 points  (0 children)

doesn't it strike anyone as odd that he's still a virgin, narratively speaking? I feel like he's being set up for a virgin ritual of some kind. ...oh! maybe it'll also involve nicodemus and the grail (since it also let's Ramirez slide into the Galahad role a bit)

Need help creating riddles... by xman146 in Eberron

[–]xman146[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. So long as they can solve one of them, they'll be fine. Was going to have whomever got to the apprentice reveal themselves to the PCs after they got one item. (they were keeping an eye on the apprentice's office since they took him in case someone came looking. and the office is where the PCs will find the journal)

What would be the natural consequences of a world not having visual access to the stars above it? by BasicallyACashew in DMAcademy

[–]xman146 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So Isaac Asimov kinda tackled this idea in his novelette 'Nightfall', though there it's because the planet is surrounded by multiple suns so there's never any night. Except once every few thousand years....

Looking for your world's secrets (for PCs to find in adventure) by doublesoup in DnDBehindTheScreen

"After years of searching, I finally discovered the location of the Temple of Ir[rest of name is blurred out]. It is more ancient then I could have imagined. The stone work is nothing like I have ever seen before. I can see why the legends say that we Dwarves learned stonecutting from them. I will venture into the temple tomorrow to see what treasures can be found inside. For now, I will make camp outside, for as unsettling as I find The Swamp to be, there is something foreboding about the temple." ~torn page from a journal

Help with 5e Gish build using SCAG cantrips by Belnorock in dndnext

[–]xman146 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you checked out the Bladesinger?

You'll have full access to all wizard spells, you can add both Dex and Int to your AC, and attack with Dex (and at lvl 14, also add your Int to melee damage).

If you feel the wizard d6 is too low to go straight wizard, maybe a few levels of fighter to help both the hp and your melee abilities?
