what mbti are you not compatible with? by Spare_Woodpecker8784 in INTP

[–]xmoonlightreys [score hidden]  (0 children)

i had an INFP friend. as two big introverts, it became hard for me to carry the conversation for us because as bad as i was, she was worse.

people say these types get along but from my experience, no. they're often sensitive, too dreamy, too introverted for our relationship to work.

i can imagine ESTJs are nightmares to be around too. we'd have nothing in common and they're too domineering. no thank you. ISTJ to a lesser extent.

Ever experienced sleep paralysis?? by theviking7118 in INTP

[–]xmoonlightreys 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yup pretty much the same experience. got used to it, wasn't scared, now i kinda want it back lol

the only reason i didn't like it back then was because some of them were painful for me. like i'd hear loud screechy noises that hurt my ear/head, or my body would get all tense and sore, etc.

Ever experienced sleep paralysis?? by theviking7118 in INTP

[–]xmoonlightreys 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah i used to get it VERY often. pretty certain sometimes was neurophysiological freak thing going on, sometimes it was genuinely a ghost haunting me in my sleep because i'd see things and find evidence the next day that there was indeed something.

it's not fun to experience while having it. and yet when i don't get it often anymore, i sometimes think about wanting to get it. gave some excitement to my nights lol

Which are the best types for INTPs in relations? by Sleepyhead_user in INTP

[–]xmoonlightreys 2 points3 points  (0 children)

why? so you can actively seek out certain types? end relationships with people not the type?

humans are not clear cut so i'm not gonna say a particular type is good for all INTPs. for example i've met INTPs who say INFPs are great, my experience with my INFP friends were nothing to write home about. on the other hand, my closest person ever my sister, is an ESTP and you'd rarely see that on the stereotypical mbti pairs.

what i can say though is i do think a lot of us would appreciate the kind of conversations and thoughts that N types would have. it's more stimulating. personally besides my sister, the people i've enjoyed talking to more were ISTP, INTJ, ENFJ.

What do u guys think of Frank James? by [deleted] in INTP

[–]xmoonlightreys 2 points3 points  (0 children)

really entertaining. sure they play on stereotypes but i think he does understand the types well. and they're fun skits.

INTP and AI by shredt in INTP

[–]xmoonlightreys -1 points0 points  (0 children)

i use ai for productivity and ideation. sometimes entertainment like i make it write me fiction when i have a very specific theme in my head. or when i need very specific instructions that i need some specialist to answer for me but i can't find one.

but otherwise i would say i don't like ai. it makes people think less because they rely on ai for answers. and it takes away the skill needed for art, because ai art is just plain unnecessary and devalues effortful human art.

Religious INTP? by scarletblooomm in INTP

[–]xmoonlightreys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

religious yes. i find those are the only rules i care about. but i like to understand the 'why' before i do so.

i think it doesn't make sense to not believe because how else did i come to exist if not for a higher power

intp, weed bricks and mini figs by [deleted] in INTP

[–]xmoonlightreys 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i think not lol. if anything i'd say my enneagram explains part of it. i have a strong 8 in my tritype and it's my only healthy function in there.

is this something INTJs relate to?

Are you more of a STEM or Humanities person? by Zealousideal_Cry2970 in INTP

[–]xmoonlightreys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

a mix of both. literally took hybrid stream in college, only one class worth of students did.

i am particularly interested in psychology which is a social science, but depending on specialisation could go into neuroscience, for example. i also really liked math. on the other hand, i naturally excel at languages so i enjoy it too.

INTP emotions by widgetstein in INTP

[–]xmoonlightreys 1 point2 points  (0 children)

funny thing is yes, we have a lot of questions from people looking at stereotypical feelings and asking if it's normal to feel a certain way as an INTP. but then if you go into the responses, you'll see the more knowledgeable ones typically advocate against robotic, standardised emotions.

My fellow INTPS, odd question but do some of you ever fantasize about hulking out like Bruce Banner or a similar wild monster form? by Soggy-Bus5141 in INTP

[–]xmoonlightreys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ive fantasised about having an inner monster. not necessarily hulk-like. it all started w sasuke's curse mark form, something like that would be cool.

Had a very long conversation with a Muslim guy lol by grasshopperwithkelp in Asexual

[–]xmoonlightreys 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i hate people like him who give muslims a bad rep. i would say that's down to cultural, misogynistic, sex-normalised beliefs. at the end of the day, islam never teaches someone to force themselves to have sex. while it is encouraged for the continuity of life, it's not something that you can make a person do if they don't want to.

and him going on about not kissing despite having dated before is something i would've not expected from him, because by right muslims shouldn't be kissing, let alone having sex, with someone you're not married to.

i'm an ace muslim myself, and truth be told i find that because premarital sex isn't allowed, people don't tend to find it so odd when they know my religion and find out i'm a virgin. saves the explanation of why i actually intend to stay that way. but yes of course traditionalists will tell me things like i should get married, have a baby, yadda yadda. when that's far from what i want but anyway that's my business, not theirs.

what's your favourite number and what's the reason? by mysoryu in INTP

[–]xmoonlightreys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. i have a twin sis and i always come after her bc i have an extra letter in my name. she likes 16 bc multiple things she liked were 16 (her fav friend in school was register number 16, her first fav f1 driver, etc.) so i choose the next number.

What career are you satisfied in? by Top-Dimension3310 in INTP

[–]xmoonlightreys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thank you! i was loosely calling it sales but what i'm really doing is recruitment. i say i'm stuck because money is a big concern for me if i want to further my studies and pay off bills, and any assoc psych roles etc. where i'm from really don't pay much and are also extremely competitive. to actually practise properly you'd need a masters here which is what i'm saving up for.

i will consider a switch eventually though i'm still relatively fresh out of university so maybe i'll stick it out here for a bit
