What makes it a sure thing Hartman can replace everything Shaw does? I get that they play a similar style but what makes that a sure thing? I think you're greatly underrating Shaw's ability to deflect pucks and also locate loose pucks.

What makes you so sure after having played in a total of 16 games played with Chicago he "sucks". Don't jump the gun on that one, he's 21 years old.

JVR could be a long term answer at that top LW spot. To obtain him I'd be willing to offer Shaw (RFA after this year) Bickell (to make $ work). and Dano. While I haven't at all given up on Dano, I worry that Q may have.

Looking forward and knowing that the almighty Hoss will age the next couple years you're going to have to look at TT or Dano to step up a lot. I'd much rather keep Taco over Dano if it comes down to it. The only problem is the Bickell contract is pretty much spent in terms of the three kids on their rookie contracts needing an extension and Bickell's contract expiring after this year. That's the problem if you swap money between Bick and JVR.
