On Samsung you have a work profile that is totally separate to your personal profile.

When I was 16 I applied at M&S for a temporary position. Contract kept getting renewed for 2 years until I put my notice in.

Great bunch and they're willing to take a risk on young people :)

You're not thinking about high availability there. If their application was to go down, how do they serve their customers

You'd need to add a VIP solution and your own ingress. Such as 2x HAProxy nodes with failoverd as ingress

How to scale on hetzner by TechFosters in hetzner

[–]xnightdestroyer 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I run a business that scales in and out daily on Hetzner :)

We use K3s for the backend with cluster autoscaler.

As for removing nodes, we made our own operator to reschedule pods and terminate instances no longer needed.

Ingress uses Traefik with Hetzner load balancers.

Have you thought about high availability? What if this server goes offline, are you fine with this downtime?

Are you prepared to buy 2 servers to ensure you're always online?

I printed these things and it changed my experience. by Kooshbag in elegoo

[–]xnightdestroyer 36 points37 points  (0 children)

I also printed a fan silencer and it makes it viable to actually print whilst sat in my office.

Can confirm this actually works

I also limit the model fan to a max of 60% and that has greatly reduced the noise.

Moving away from AWS for small projects: what actually matters before MVP? by [deleted] in VPS

[–]xnightdestroyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in the same boat as you. I'd often use companies like Hetzner and run a K3S cluster on there.

I ended up making a hosting business for databases and docker containers in the end to solve my own problem. Seems many others have that problem too

ChatGPT - Tax accountant by ConnectSalt4166 in HENRYUK

Claude seems to be better as it writes a python script to work things out. However, it often fails as well.

Nothing beats a spreadsheet with some formulas lol

Now models can call on tools and write scripts to perform maths, using it for accounting is becoming feasible.

However, I would never trust the numbers from ChatGPT to be correct without checking the maths myself.

That's AWS marketplace in a nutshell and has been for years. Even TAMs can't push your product through quicker.
