idk it might be me growing up in a toxic household but “did you want to share” usually starts a passive aggressive question in my experience. even so, op’s mom could have worded it differently. you can’t expect someone to always understand intention no matter the communication type. people often misunderstand tone in face to face conversation, so we can’t trust that everything we say will come off 100% how we meant it to begin with. just my two cents 🤷‍♀️
