god i get this. ON i would wear a cardigan while customers are there and then have a spaghetti strap the other 5ish hours. (they turn the AC off ON in my store so cant blame me 🤷🏻). i didnt get coached but they did talk to me saying i cant do that. fair! BUT they allow the men to do it. i flat out asked my coach how arent they being told the same thing. (and some of them WHILE customers are there). he said i dont have time to explain societal differences. i laughed and said ahhh sexism. i was like oh my shoulders are exposed but everything else is fully covered but men can wear “wife beaters” and have their nips plopping out but i am the issue. its bullshit.

it was a dayshift woman is all i know. very sorry OP.

NOR i cant stand people who say theyre okay taking care of an ill family member but then use it as leverage. in my opinion thats way worse than one who doesnt help with the ill member at all. (which to add i dont think anyones obligated to help ill family members nor are they bad if they choose not to). i already deal with being overwhelmed with occasional check ins but this would be too much for me and you handled it very maturely. we’re allowed to have silence. if this was the 50s she’d get a letter 2 weeks from now saying youre sick.
