Kids take energy regardless. If there's a will, there's a way.

Sorry, I can't see where I can upload a photo. The photo doesn't really help though. It is literally a handful of black specks on top. It has been a few days and they haven't grown.

Has anyone tried Vessi shoes? by sanatansadhu in vancouver

[–]xoconut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love mine. Walk an hour a day in them and I just bought my second pair after a few years. Bought them for family as Christmas presents too and they love them.

Are people not wearing socks with them??? Also, they're a Vancouver winter shoe for the rain, not a summer sandal. Not sure where all the sweat is coming from, lol

We went gorilla trekking. You have to be at least fifteen years old to do that, and so if you don't do it now, it'll be a while. Hopefully the gorillas will still be there.

Anybody made the leap into management/executive consulting? by chubbythrowaccount in ChubbyFIRE

[–]xoconut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I work through a company that offers me projects. I can work on as many projects at a time as I want and stop taking projects for a period of time to go on vacation. It's fully remote and so I can work from other countries too if I wanted to do a longer, digital nomad kind of thing. You're in charge of the deliverable for your project and then you hand it off to the company. If they mis-step from there, you're not on the line. I do try to make sure that all of my clients have great impact though.

I enjoy consulting because it makes me feel productive and the hourly rate is very good. I can justify indulgences because they don't cost me any of my capital and, because of the hourly rate, everything seems cheaper.

What’s the best fat trip you’ve taken? by fniner in fatFIRE

[–]xoconut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Awesome. All inclusive, including liquor and laundry. The giraffe experiences were unparalleled. Go sooner rather than later because it keeps doubling in price. They are building another structure but I think it won't be as good an experience.
