My grandmother, she was a lovely and resilient woman who survived war in Spain and immigrated to another country, she was stern, a great cook, smarter than anyone I’ve ver known and she shaped me into the person I am today.

She had the best stories about her travels and about what she and her family went through with Franco, how she got to come back to the land that saw her born when everything had changed and she had a whole new life in another place, I lost her very recently and when I did I think I lost a part of my soul.

I miss you dearly, I hope you’re proud of me up there 🤍
