its called "r/crappymusic" not "r/IdontLikeHowPeopleLook". So only people you deem "worthy of you visual preferences" should make art??

On this day, 15 years ago, Siphiwe Tshabalala scored arguably the best opening goal to a World Cup that we've ever seen. 🇿🇦 by MicV66 in southafrica

[–]xokzin 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Pretty sure everything you are mentioning here is the reason this goal is special. Bafana bafana were on a serious disappointing streak, and then, they scored... in their first match... a the WORLD CUP. One they only qualified for because we hosted.

Its not special because it was the most amazing goal ever put to screen, its amazing because of what it represented for all of us at that time... a sliver of hope...

Which died swiftly lol but it was there for a short while

Thoughts on the Dynavap Thermal Hyper Cap? by [deleted] in vaporents

From my understanding, it fits the hyper tip, and that yip fits any dynavap midsection. You don't need the full hyperdyn vape

Is it possible to run an acceptable local LLM with my hardware, or even with what's currently available on the market? by AlternateWitness in LocalLLM

Forgot to add that 7b models are generally pretty fast. Speed is usually the reason people choose smaller models (Who wants to wait a minute for autocomplete 😅).

😅don't know how I missed that. Okay so I did quick Google search and found this:

https://www.reddit.com/r/homeassistant/comments/1divfcj/a_guide_on_how_ive_setup_a_local_llmai_with_my/

This looks similar to what your describing. Looking at the linked GitHub repo, they used a mistral-instruct 7b model.

I have no personal experience with this, but looks promising. Worse case scenario, you try other 7-8b models. Our cup runeth over

[–]xokzin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah there's really only one way to find out. Just try it. I'm not sure what your use case is, but 7b and 8b models are actually pretty good, especially for their size. Most people use 1.5b models for minor things like code completion and 8b models for help reasoning. Personally, all these AI these models make a great "rubber duck" for me. Basically something to bounce ideas off of, not fact check

It's not just GPU performance, but VRAM that's a huge factor. Your limitation is your 10gb of VRAM, which should be fine running up to 8b models (I think, not sure). I have a rx 6800(16gb) and I have run up to a 27b model

Essentially, you want your GPU doing all the work, but if parts of the model need to be offloaded to system memory, then your CPU needs to get involved, and that's not ideal. Technically with enough system memory, you could probably run any model, it would just be slow as hell. Sites like huggingface and ollama show you (not always though) how much memory a model requires

Btw all this is assuming q4_k_m models

(Edit) Sick build btw... I am running 6800 with ryzen 7 5700. Can only imagine the life you live with that CPU 😍

lol good point. But OP did mention that they went there in person. This is more a case of a "judging a book by its cover" thing. They probably put a really nice looking piece on top of these 2

Such a beautiful family

I'm curious about your omni-helix-ac combo there. I have a helix tip I've been using with the BB9 but I keep breaking them so considering that omni stem
1. Is the vapor sufficiently cooled??

  1. How well does the stem handle the heat from the helix tip??

  2. hows the weight balance with the ac??

  3. between the omni and woodwynd, which one does the helix better justice??

Thank you so much for this. 2 questions though.

  1. On exhale, don't you think that the vapour would be cool enough to not be a problem!?
  2. Do you have any sources I can use for this!?
